Who plays 6 Round 1?

I have been thinking about this all day and believe we need to sign a 5/8th with some experience. We are really short of experience at 5/8th.

I got howled down with the Widdop suggestion, but we need a back up and I believe he comes cheap?

I don't think he would come to be a backup though, it is a tough one to answer.

Well, he may play the house down as well, then AD needs a spot?

The club has been hitting the bullseye all off season so I am sure they have something organised they did let Josh go.

Wasn't Talau a 5/8 in lower grades? AD first choice and Talau when/if he is injured/suspended.

We've got a depth of Centres and Wingers, so if Talau, Noffa or Momo have to sub in anywhere, it will be easily filled.

Considering we had Beau Ryan in FB at one stage, I don't think we're all that bad.

Maybe we add to the depth with another promising junior. But can't see us resorting to any more players than the above.

Or, if the situation gets dire, there can always be potential options mid season.

Honestly, he seems like the best option.
They will probably deploy Mbye at Fullback rd 1, even if Laurie is here.
Talau is clearly viewed by the club as a wing/centre.
You don't usually debut a halfback rd 1 so that would rule Madden out.
Momirovski is the lowest risk option, I think he will do fine for 1 game, just use him as a running 6 and let Brooks play both sides of the field.

I’d go with that for sure. A low $s, goal kicking, experienced game manager.
It may prove a winner for both WT and Brooks.

Yeah, the guy has played in 1 game since October 2019, we have one trial so I think it is too much to expect him to be ready round 1.
