Who should captain the side next season [poll]

Forgot to add , with what has happened in the last week at the WT's I'd like to see a complete change

I feel if we made Lawrence captain it still links us with the Sheens /backended contracts etc and choosing Sironen we link back with the Balmain /Wests thing with Pauls link

We need to change the mindset that people have of the WT's completely and change it fast

From an outsider perspective , many see us as rabble

Make a change for the future that will be popular with the fans

Lawrence 😱pen_mouth:, great speaker and presents himself well, but if his not signed for 2017 and beyond a Captain merry go round will occur.

Woods or Tedesco is the obvious choice as they will be here for a long time to come…...you'd think and they lead by example.

Exactly TM ,that's what i was meaning . There has been that much speculation about trying to move on Lawrence as well that even in his interview he said " as far as i know i will be here next year " his not even certain himself .

Look I have one depending on what happens with his future and how many minutes Taylor plans on using him for in 2016 but Martin Taupau is worth a thought for a few reasons

The kids and fans love him , it could help with his involvement in games putting him in a leadership role (in my opinion he can go missing , put the (C) beside his name and he is forced to stay involved) and would force him to become more disciplined

Just looking outside the square , if Taupau can become a mentally stronger and more consistent footballer it is only going to aid the WT's in 2016 and beyond

Farah should stay and be captain… when his not on the field... whether on the bench or injured, we lose all direction and control of the game.
No point changing that aspect of our team when we win only 10% of games without him

I like skippers to be over achievers- ie their on field results are hard earned via good training, attitude, eating, living well, rather than ability alone.

They don't whine or hang out with the cool crew- they make efforts to engage and improve the fringe players because the team comes first.

But on the other hand if you can consistently get the best out of someone by making him captain it is a far better result

You know you will get the best from Lawrence every week , but will that inspire the others around him

I love Rowdy , but does he inspire you on field or can he do something inspirational on field to lift the boys when they are down ??

Name three things you can think he has done in games this season that would be seen as inspirational by his peers

In my opinion you go two way with captains

You choose blokes whose freakish talents inspire all or you choose a bloke in the Dean Lance ,Fensom , Alan Tongue who unbelievable workloads inspire players around them

Good interviewers doesn't mean there good hands on the job.
Lawrence is very injury prone and just cause he has been great since moving into the 2nd Row, his the quiet type out on the field where as Taupau is the sort of player that leads by example and has no problems reving up the boys.

He is currently contracted as the same time as Taupau....In fact Wests Tigers have no contracted players beyond 2017...lets go Moses...
