Who should our new Attack and Defence coaches be

It would never happen but I’d love to have Aaron Bellamy as the attacking coach.

I think a more realistic option for assistants would be Dean Pay, John Morris and Gardiner. I wish we tried to pick up Morris once he left the Sharks.

John Morris is signed as an assistant at souths next year, only way to get him would be to offer a head coach position, which would work for me

I'd look at Srud Carroll for defence. Hard ass, old fashioned tough nut.
I conveniently left out Manly scum.

Surely those 2 clowns in box with madge every week are gone ? It took 4 episodes of tiger town for one of them to open their mouth and not just stare at Madge while he paints the glass. Don’t know their names and don’t care too either because they should be given their marching orders at 6pm Sunday.

Question..was sheens any good at making tigers defensively decent when he was our coach?

That’s a big NO. He just made sure we scored more points than the opposition.

We need one well credentialed assistant coach. We seem to have 2 or 3 "yes men".

Penrith have Ciraldo
Roosters have Fitzgibbon
Souths have that bloke that's going to take over when Bennett leaves

We seem to just have randoms that Madge probably feels safe with after what happened with Souths.

not really, but with the exception of the Warriors semi final in 2011 our defence was sensational in all of our finals matches. having players like Fulton, Farah and Gibbs certainly helped, but if you look at the 2010 Preliminary Final against St George the amount of sets they had on our line in that first half we just continued to turn up and hang in there.

with all of that in mind though, he won't be involved on the first grade coaching staff. we definitely need a change defensively, I'm just unsure as to whether that's structurally or with our personnel.

I disagree with those saying our attack is fine. It often looks disjointed and with no clear goal. I'd look for attack and defence help where possible.

I miss those days 🙂

Im sure he would have some advice

I agree that we need an expert defence coach, but also our players selection must be better, and reject players that have no will to play defence!

Who knows the ins and outs of other team's coaching structures??

I'd be happy with the attack or defence coach from the Storm or Roosters.

I think our attack is fine. Laurie will get more opportunities to feed our edges if our halves go deeper into the line, but that's not a structural change. Blore will improve and Tuilagi has demonstrated he can find the line. Talau will be even better next year and Liddle & Simpkin showed their skillsets on Sunday. left centre is the big question mark.

defence most certainly needs work. linespeed is horrendous, we struggle to win the collision against most sides and when we're on our line its a guessing game. I think we'll need a change there, but who?

I think our defence problems would be solved with a good defensive centre/s

Nofoaluma, Luciano and Doueihi are our issues on the right edge. all have work to do on their ability to make tackles one on one and to make decisions. I'd say Talau can hold his own far better compared to the rest of them. Doueihi will be able to work on his upper body due to being in rehab which will be a good thing, Luciano should be on the bench with Tuilagi starting on the right edge, and Nofo? well he's Nofo. he's hopeless.

John Muggleton as Defense coach would be a good addition or David Fairleigh.
Billy Salter - Attack coach or Laurie Daley (if they would depart from their media commitments)
Matt Head (who did coach our SG Ball team a while back) would a decent attack coach.

I'd be happy with the attack or defence coach from the Storm or Roosters.

Justin Ryles.
He has just served his apprenticeship under Bellamy and is heading to Robinson next year for another 3 year one.

He will be the next sought after coach!
