if I was gonna hedge a bet, I'd say Jeremiah Nanai for 2023 followed by a swap deal with Luch a couple weeks later. Cotric sounds as if he's still tossing up between Canberra and WT, Thompson I don't think will happen due to his hyperinflated contract and Luki I'm not too sure about. would love Tariq but if the rumours are true about Penrith sniffing around him I'd say we're no chance. also no need for us to sign Hodgson now Api is done.

We need a quality centre for 2022. Has to be Cotric...

It is Cotric

So we have Goldiart and James Roberts available. You then sign A winger to play Center, a winger who only scored 3 tries last year 🙁

Someone did a list above of 6 players we have that can play Center. Look I get it Tommy Tilau and co did not perform this year.

But hiring another 400+k winger isnt the solution. Playing them out of position at Center isnt a good idea. Having 3 Players in Ken, Noffa and Cotricget used to each other means our defense will be crap for 6 months.

What are we doing?

Would love Tariq too as he is exactly what we need:

Seems locked in though.

I think Cotric was poorly utilized at Canterbury, whilst as a junior he played fullback, I think he is way to big to play that role now, center is his best position if he has the intellect to read defense. As the block plays run by most teams will require the centre to make a rushed decision. I am wondering if the dogs brought him over as a centre but moved him to the wing because of his decisions playing center, maybe he cannot read defense.
He looked so disillusioned at the dogs towards the back end, and did not score many tries seemed unhappy.

I think under Sheens and Madge he will become both a strong runner and a trustworthy defender, because when your not trusted your winger is forced to make the decision for you, and you don't want Nofa making too many important decisions, just quietly.

Oliver Gildhart is a really good centre. I think Doueihi might end up playing there if Brooks and Hastings start well.

Players don't need to get used to each other in defense. If everyone can defend, they can defend. Also, how did u come up with the 6 months time frame cause it seems arbitrary.

Listen to Josh Morris.
OR more to the point listen to Wingers who played with him:
"He knew where you were". Why is that important?

Because he knew what you could handle, where you would step. He knew when he had to come in and when he had to step up.

Because its about Tackling and Actually Stopping players AND positioning yourself so that you are in the right position to stop the player.

Mbye was actually really good at positioning, he knew where the ball was going to go, but he just Speedhump'd everything.

Noffa, conversally gets caught out all the time 2 on 1 overlap on the wing.

Nik Cotric can Tackle. His scoring is low but he can tackle. Its going to take AGES for him to defensively Gel with whatever Winger or Center he is paired with (likewise in Attack).

Our defensive coach is going to add Grit too our pack. We need that. But I hope Jason talks with Sheens or someone else about tactics to manage wingers from being caught out in the open. Noffa has been left open 2 vs 1 for almost all his career.
