I would like to know your guys thoughts and opinions on who you think was the best player in their prime from the past 20 years or so.

Brett Kenny one of the best ever imo… But much earlier than the timeline stated

100% Ink. Better than Lewis in my opinion but due to the respective comps they played in, Lewis was always fresh and ready to go.

Don’t get me wrong, Lewis was inspirational, but so was Kenny.

Idk about being the best at his peak, but Cam Smith will go down as one of the top 5 players of all time on durability alone. Going on 36, approaching 400 club games and still going strong. Like it or lump it

No brainer for for me - Johns.

Kenny as good as "The King" - oh! well, everyone is entitled to an opinion.
Mine is … not in the same class.

Exactly Russell!

Voted for Thurston. Agree that Lockyer should at least be in the convo. Probably Slater number 2 for mine. Yes, I'm a Queenslander living in NSW

Never liked him, but Allan Langer.

300+ games, won a stack of titles and always played a totally dominant role.

I know a few guys that played first grade around the same time as Langer and they all agree that he was by far the best.

Honorable mention goes to Cliff Lyons. Totally classy player who could display the silkiest of skills and then smash someone in a tackle. He played over 300 games and was still dominating in the NRL at age 38 while smoking a few Winnie Blues before the game.
