I understand Madge is struggling but when we have a go we look alright

We got stuck in in the second half and even though rabbits still gave it to us and we made our usual dumb as mistakes we won the second half

Sacking the coach just justifies the players poor performances that just move on to the next coaches problem because it's easy for the players to take the easy opt ion when things get tough

Let's just tank it

LL is useless bench player at best

I disagree. Our younger players will improve.

Our young players like Laurie, AD, Blore and Stef are going ok. It’s the guys who’ve played plenty that are just crap.

The young blokes that Maguire has recruited are having a dig. They have zero leadership from the players considered seasoned. Brooks plays hard but he is not a leader in saying that he has very little support.

I’m thinking Madge will still be here … but a lot of current players won’t.
They HAVE to find some way to get rid of the perennial losers.
In the backs I’d only keep AD, Maumolo and Laurie.
The rest can’t find a way to win.
We’ve got a few good young forwards who will continue to improve (as long as their spirit isn’t broken by our losing culture).
I’d also keep LL (the only bloke in the forwards who can break the line) and Joffa but we still need at least 2 hard hitting defenders.
Still not sold on Liddle, hope the young bloke comes good in reserves.
Doesn’t look great but if Madge gets the boot the bums get a leave pass they don’t deserve.

a rookie coach is a risk, but we need someone who understands how to get the new generation up for a game. put a decent support network around a Gardiner, Ciraldo or Morris and bite the bullet. there's no one I can think of that's an established coach that I'd go after.

Morris had two and a bit good years at the Sharks. With Sheens onboard as a mentor, who else would he need? Morris is a smart operator.

We don't need some crazy tactician, all the coach needs to do is fix our defensive structure and get the boys to actually give it a go every week

The next coach doesn’t need to focus on defence because that’s not part of the teams DNA. He should come in, let them throw the ball around, push up in support and just play the possession game. That way we’ll only be defending on our terms.
I mean that’s what everyone wants isn’t it.

6 months ago I would agree, but now I just want a coach who will make us better, Madge has tried and failed, I think Flanagan would, I would also be happy with Morris or Ciraldo

I’ve seen your posts around signing Flanagan before and completely disagree lol. He’s the best available option (whether you like him as a person or not) to change things here.
