I'll also inquire about major sponsor for next year… I.e how long are proton on board for.

Boring

Ask him
1\. Is Andrew Fifta off too the Dogs and that is the reason Sheens limited his gametime?
2\. Is Moltzen off to the Raiders cause they need a half?
3\. Did he order Sheens not to pick Fitzhenry in the team even though he did?
4\. Is it true that we sighned Brett Finch but at the last minute he changed his mind?
5\. Has Russell Crowe finally suceeded in getting Lawrence and is that why we have not announced his extention till 2014?

On second thoughts don't worry I'll ask him myself…

Look forward to the responses to those questions

Geo has been kind enough to provide me with an update as to who has won awards so far. The list I have thus far is as follows:

NYC Players player - Jake Clarke
NYC coaches player - Matt Hyland

Wests Tigers Community award - Benji Marshall
Wests Tigers members player - Chris Heighington
Iron Men award - Robbie Farah, Benji Marshall, Lote Tuqiri, Chris Heighington

That's all I have so far. Also, Geo informed Heighno that he won the Weststigersforum player of the year award and apparently he's pretty proud, despite the humble award that it is.

Another update from Geo:

Dwyer won Rookie of the year as expected;
Back of the year went to Benji;
Forward of the year went to Farah.

Apparently it was a very good day for those who were able to attend.

GARETH ELLIS NAMED WESTS TIGERS PLAYER OF THE YEAR
By Wayne Cousins
1/10/2010 3:00:25 PM

International second-rower Gareth Ellis has today been named the Wests Tigers Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.

It is the first time in the Wests Tigers history that a player has won this award back to back.

Ellis was a revelation in his first season in 2009, playing 22 matches after leaving Leeds Rhinos in the English Super League. He backed it up with another superb season in 2010, playing 24 matches. Renowned as a great defender, Ellis really developed himself into a fine attacking player under coach Tim Sheens.

Ellis is contracted to Wests Tigers until the end of the 2013 season after extending his contract mid-season.

Ellis received his Player of the Year award from Head Coach Tim Sheens.

The Player of the Year award was a number of awards presented to players in front of more than 1200 people at a sold out Wests Tigers Grand Final luncheon at Le Montage Function Centre in Leichhardt.

Inspirational Wests Tigers captain Robbie Farah was the winner of the Noel Kelly Medal for Best Forward in 2010.

Like Ellis, Farah has now claimed this award for the second consecutive year. Kelly, the former Magpies and Australian legend, presented the Medal to Farah.

A true leader, Farah played every match for Wests Tigers this season. He has now played 143 matches for the club.

Wests Tigers five-eighth Benji Marshall was rewarded for a stellar season by taking home the Keith Barnes Medal for Best Back for 2010\. It the second Keith Barnes Medal for Marshall, having won in 2009.

Barnes, the former Balmain, NSW and Australian full-back, was on hand to present Marshall with his Medal.

Marshall played 27 games, scored 12 tries, kicked 76 goals and 3 field goals for a personal tally of 203 points. It was his first full season after overcoming a terrible run of injuries in recent years.

Wests Tigers Assistant Coach Royce Simmons presented the Iron Men awards for playing all 24 matches this season to winger Lote Tuqiri, Marshall, Farah and back-rower Chris Heighington.

The Rookie of the Year award was presented by Wests Tigers Assistant Coach Peter Gentle to talented back-rower Simon Dwyer, who established himself as a player of the future in his 18 appearances this season.

Heighington was named the Wests Tigers Members Player of the Year. He may have been overlooked by the NSW selectors but his high work rate and consistent performances were noticed by the club’s members.

Marshall received his third award for the year when he was presented on stage with the Wests Tigers Community Award.

An emotional Marshall received the award for his outstanding work in supporting five-year-old Wests Tigers supporter Lleyton Giles, who is battling a terminal liver condition.

Marshall also established the Benji Marshall Foundation in August to help sick kids with cancer.

Wests Tigers presented awards to their NYC (U20s) team. The Players’ Player award was won by centre Jake Clarke, the Coaches Award was presented to lock and captain Matthew Hyland, with Lance Siataga winning the Community Award.

You know all the award winners - see above.

Lleytons Dad announced the community award to Benji...it was a very emotional time...I had tears in my eyes..benji could hardley get his words out...the audience were so good....Benji was so touched by the plight of Lleyton Gilles...MKB chipped in with an all expenses paid trip for the Gilles family to Disneyland....it was such an emotional award..well done to Benji what a champion person he is....his speech was very moving and humble...

Well I spoke with Stephen Humphreys and he has a lovely wife..she is a dragons supporter who is slowly coming around to the Tigers....they are so down to earth...sat at the table with Dawn, Stephen, his wife, Noel Kelly, Keith Barnes...wow I felt like a celebrity....thanks to my sister who knows Stephen really well for the ticket/seat....I can report that we are NOT signing any other players of significance for 2011...focus is to keep the current squad as long as we can....The aim is to keep the current squad together....There is a real buzz about 2011... providing we stay injury free...al in all a great day!...thanks to my sister for the invite....loads of money raised through the various auctions...
