I agree with a number of posters who have mentioned hard heads. For me, a hard head is someone who loves playing the game and hates to lose. This manifests itself in being physical, showing resilience when things go against you, being desperate on your own line.....I have wondered for a while about how many players we have whose only focus is to look after their families and hence winning or losing is not important as long as you are getting well paid. Having your family as your first priority is admirable and should be everybody's main focus, but we need players who are hungrier than that. I know in my life my family is my main focus, but I am also passionate about and dedicated to my job. I am not happy when I make mistakes and mediocre effort does not sit well with me. Players mentioned like Brown, Hunt, Tapine regularly show that they are passionate about their performances and turn up each week to play hard.
