Whose the man - Moses or Kitt ?

I haven't seen either play but 5 into 2 doesn't fit

We need to probably look at who be most suited to cracking it at the top level

As we have seen in the past , the most talented doesn't necessarily mean will make it

Let's hope the club makes the best choices

Many talking about players playing out of position We've all been Sheeniused into this mind set and we need to let it go

I understand these kids are trying to crack first grade and at this level should probably have settled into a 'favourite' position by now!
I know from experience in HP development that just because a player plays a certain position that doesnt mean they cant be better suited to a different position.

It only takes a good coach to see this opportunity and have the balls to back their intuition!
No I don't agree with Sheens' mid season randoms as IMO it was quite disruptive to all; but a coach with good vision, planning and preperation over a preseason can turn any pigeonholed player into something bigger and better just by a simple positional change!

Yes we get the Benji's freaks who play their whole career in one spot but to have a versatile player like Beau is invaluable!

I'd hate to be in the Toddy selection camp this summer because he really does have a hard task ahead of him!

Seems like Billy is going to do it tough to make the side with the combination of Moses and Brooks certainly giving them an advantage.

Obviously they are all talented players but it will be interesting to see what happens as some young junior stars carn't quite make the leap to seniors, they don't kick on as expected.

So it's all up in the air to see who has the applcation and drive, talent is not enough !

From waht I have seen Moses will be #6 and Brooks will be #7 baring injuries or a major dip in form. These 2 are a very good combination.

That will leave Kitt and Mulcachy looking for other spots in the backline. Still think Potter might get Payten to play Sironen at centre in the early rounds, have a feeling he may be a centre at NRL level early in his career.

Didn't Billy the Kitt miss a lot of last season injured?

I've only seen Moses play once but he must be one hell of a player to keep Kitt out.

Exciting times ahead with the big hombre in charge to mentor these kids

And to think just 18 months back silly ole Snoddy was quite excited by the prospects of Sam Atua and Mitchell Brassington …

As a cagey goofy footer once told my totally blond, ex brother in laws kid sister Jem,
"Check out the wave that's forming after the wave your lookin at!"

paytens shown that he doesnt play favourites and will drop 'name' players if there form isnt upto scratch

i have full faith in him to pick the best of the bunch

But what happens when your 20's halfback is struggling, but is apart of the NRL Salary Cap?

Does Todd really have a say, or does the NRL Coach make the final decision?

Moses is a 6 and Kitt is a 7, Moses will be keeping Mulcahy out if selected and it will be Luke Brooks keeping Kitt out. Kitt is a good player but just can't do what Brooks can in attack.

Mulcahy deserves his spot in the twenties imo. Considering it's unlikely that Brooks and Moses will make grade together I think splitting them up is a good idea. Teach them to play without the other. I also think Moses could use toughening up by playing against men.

State Cup:
6\. Moses
7\. Kitt

NYC
6\. Mulcahy
7\. Brooks

They can rotate throughout the year I suppose. I assume Sironen will be moved from the 6\. If he is still a 6 then he should be the state cup six and Moses can play off the bench somewhere.

I doubt we'll see Moses and Kitt playing State Cup next year.

It is a nice problem to have.

I reckon Kitt in almost any other year would get first crack at 7, but Brooks is something special IMO

Rudolf and Mulchacy would be unlucky not to get a run somewhere in the side, i can t see where at this stage however.

As we all know, there will be injuries at some stage we will use most of these players throughout the year.

Is that Brooks on the far left in this pic?

Thanks Flash, I've never seen him. Looks to be developing some good upper strength in the arms and shoulders for a young bloke. Do you know his weight and height etc… I wonder what sort of body shape he'll have when fully developed. Hopefully more Joey Johns then Luke Walsh.

He would be close to 90kg now I would say and about 178-180cm, he has always been strong for his size. He is a great team player who reads the game well and when he decides to go just can't be stopped, he is also a very strong defender and also has a very good kicking game. He is a very similar build to Andrew Johns, a few people are already calling him buckets. I think he will play NRL at some stage in 2013.
