Why can't I buy a New Jersey ?

Wanted to buy two new jerseys last Friday night at ANZ and the gentleman told me we only have 3XL. On the Wests Tigers website, there is a link there but the link takes you to caps and singlets etc.

Why can't I buy a new jersey from the club ? I don't want one from Peter Wynne or Rebel …. I want the money to stay in the club.
 
I was told by gearzone mccaurthur square that the hold up was due to a new sleeve sponsor deal. No time frame was given.
 
The guy at the stall at ANZ told me 4-6 weeks ….. A quarter of the season is over by then .... Not good enough.
 
i thought blades cocked up massively, big recall of stock resulting in WT ceasing partnership with the company?
 
Yeah won't this mean new jerseys again next year. Finally get a design I like and they sack them.
Wonder how different next years will be?
 
Club can get a new sleeve sponsor and maybe a new back sponsor, winnign a few more games the way we have will help.

It's a shame though, I have the current released black jersey and it looks lovely with sponsor-less sleeves.
 
The jersey we have now is the only one that has been fair to both founding clubs - we should keep it forever.

agree, sign a 10 year contract on this too mayer!

loved it from the start, simple, fair and something we can build a brand around like the Red V or tricolours or the souths strip.
 
But of course all mistakes or problems are other people's fault.

Who told you it was Blades…Ohh the club said that...well OK then it must be true.
 
Yes, there's always two sides to every story. I don't know who's at fault here but if communication is the problem then it's probably both sides at faulty.
We just can't seem to do the simple things right.
 
Wouldn't a professional organisation such as the Tigers proof the jersey before it hits the market? Find it hard to believe it was a supplier ONLY issue.
 
Every year i buy a new jersey and i alway look forward to it.
I was at the first game round 1 went to buy one was told out of stock. Then i received an email about the 15 year anniversary jersey i bought two, then days later was told that i can not have the two jersey i accepted this. I went to the souths tigers game thought finally i'll get my new black jersey only to be told that it was blades fault that there is none.
By this time i was pissed off i rang and spoke to lisa at west tigers about this jersey problem and about how long it took to get my GOLD membership.
What i can't believe is she told me that game days are very busy my question is why do the west tigers have to wait till round one and onwards to organise this sort thing when have had since the end of last season.
 
Same case every year… Disappointing..

They should be out for christmas the year before

I've bought about 8 in total directly off the Tigers website, including a couple this year and not had any issues, but sorry to hear about yours mate, maybe try ringing the club? They may have some stock that's not updated on the site yet, or at least be able to let you know when more will be in.

I think the design/pattern will have to stay the same (NRL rules), despite us going with a new supplier/manafacturer

It all depends on who owns the rights to the design. Adidas owned the Titans last design so when they changed to BLK this year they had to change the design even though it was within the 3 year cycle.

I believe that we may own the current designs due to the competition to come up with them, but I could be wrong.

I just received an email reply from GearZone Concord saying they sold out of jerseys due to last Friday night's game - yeah right!

They are expecting stock back in 4-6 weeks time.

Seriously, that is a pretty poor effort.
How can a major NRL club run out of jerseys?
My local under 6's football team have a whole storage space filled with boxes of their club jerseys!

Like many have you said this year's shirt looks awesome and by the time they become available to us it will be halfway through the season.

We are then left with getting little usage of the jersey and later having to fork out another $160 on a new shirt next season due to the change in kit brand…that's if there are any left to buy!
