I would give anyone time if they showed they were at least competent with there selections, how fantastic was our defence last night only losing by 8 points playing a reserve grade side I am so happy the defence has improved .Just look at Talyor in the presses this guy has nothing sorry WE ARE TRYING HARD TO IMPROVE news flash TRY harder.

To those of you saying that we need to have some patience and to give JT more time to get the team functioning better - I get that, everyone needs a little time to get things rolling. However, when you see the team regressing like they are at present (especially in attack) you have to start to ask questions about the coach's ability to coach.
The point I was trying to make in my OP was that WT never seem to be able to sign the kind of coach who can produce good results reasonably quickly - it's always about some 5 or 10 year plan with us, which never seems to eventuate.
I wonder if Trent Robinson had a 5 year plan in mind when he took the Roosters from 13th to win the Premiership in his rookie coaching year? I also wonder if Paul MacGregor is thinking the same thing with his Saints team currently sitting in second place on the ladder. In his very short stint as head coach, MacGregor has also somehow managed to do what Sheens & Potter could never seem to do - turn Benji into an effective halfback!
I understand that WT have a reasonably young side and we certainly do not have the playing roster of the Roosters, but there are also a lot of young blokes at Saints and they are coming together really well, under good coaching, in spite of that. I really think that Taylor is trying to implement some sort of game plan that doesn't really suit the type of players he has here at WT and I'm concerned that he is hampering, rather than enhancing, the development of our young guns. In essence, I just want a coach that actually fits here.

i have no problem with him working on our defence but when he is coaching the team NOT to attack or be creative he has lost the plot.Players like our halves will never be great defensively but he is not letting them use their ability in attack that annoys me he is trying to put square pegs in round holes.
