Why does Todd Payten get a hard time?

As I said in another thread, there was only one person who couldnt work woth 5 other coaches and it wasnt Todd Payten.

Not sure where the 5 coaches come from. No one in the team has played under more than two at W/T . Sheens & Potter. (Unless I'm mistaken)

New to the forum and have noticed that as well as Brian Smith, Todd Payten gets a hard time. Considering he seemed to do a good job with the under twenties and SOO was there something else. Was he considered to be whiteanting Potter?

I always find it intriguing that people think Payten wouldn't have been ready to coach NRL. The guy played several years in the top grade, has been assistant coach in the NRL also and is a premiership winning U/20s coach. Yet unbelievably, we who have done none of that know he isn't ready. It's a funny old world.

Ricky Stuart was a great player also, yet has been sacked by 3 clubs (soon to be 4)

Fair enough. Stuart also took a side to 3 consecutive G/F and won a premiership.

There is simply no excuse for this behaviour, he should have been convicted as it is the conduct of a very weak minded individual. Just like Nate Myles and his hotel dump, normal people don't act like this in society that they value!

I don't know if he is. That's the point. How would anyone here know if he isn't? What do you require on the CV to be "ready"?

The ability to get the job on his own merits , no by causing problems within the club to make the head coach look bad

That would be starting point

Really, is that what he did? Some people here seem to think that's bullshit and it didn't happen. Merely a good rumour to spread on the forum. I wouldn't have clue, so I'll just take your word for it.
