Why we are hurting

Yep. I don't get the respect that is being shown to the guy. We've been good to him.

Money hungry & no respect for the fans. I reckon the club should get him to be the punching bag for the whole club for the rest of the season.

At least come out & say

"I would like to thank the Wests Tigers & Fans for sticking by me through my injuries & bad form, without them I would not be here."

Not hard.

I am hurting because just when it looks like we are developing a very good side, our buys are mainly guys that can't get a run elsewhere but the junior talent is fantastic in this club, we let a player go in one of the most important positions. Not only does he leave us, he goes to the club everyone wants to leave.

Teddy - you are always welcome back to us.
Please forgive the forum - the ones that are suffering today.
We are hurt because you are/will be a fullback that goes down in the history books as potentially one of the best.
That's why we are hurting - your talent is no longer with us.
What we could of been together.

But as a footballers life on the park is so short - you did what you had to do.
It just hurts -

“It is foolish to pretend that one is fully recovered from a disappointed passion. Such wounds always leave a scar.”

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

You've left a scar in all of us- & it will be difficult to close - especially when you are playing for NSW and Australia - it will always be a reminder to us - while you are not with us - because you born from us.
Something died today in all of us
Thanks for the memories James Tedesco :sign:

Nah hes never welcome back

Comic timing win, I literally applauded as I scrolled down.

I understand people are hurting Tedesco will be a huge loss

But people need to place their blame in the right place

This will continue to happen while we have salary cap

This will continue to happen when we aren't financially stable

My question is this "Who was the last big name player we signed from the NRL that performed and was a star at the time (not ESL or Super League ) and how long ago did this occur "

I've racked my brain (please correct me if I'm wrong ) and the last I remember is Bret Hodgson ,Todd Payten ,John Morris and Ryan O'Hara

Well the last of those signings were in 2006 my friends

The reason is this , we aren't perceived to be a club that you prosper at , career wise , money wise

Stop crapping on Happy.

Tedesco looked after number one. He is entitled to. However, he turned down a club who had spent a heap developing and offered him a decent package, although not as good an offer as that made by a desperate club with no future could offer.

He turned his back to be part of something special to join a failed club with a coach who has destroyed every club he has been to.

He has every right to look after NO 1

We all do it every day ST

Whether that No 1 is yourself , your parents ,your partner , your kids , your job

What you are saying its all right for everyone else to do it , but its not alright for a football player that plays for our club to do it

Just amazes me how people in the public eyes aren't' allowed to live by the same rules as every one else according to many on this Forum

I don't think anyone is pissed with teddy for looking after himself happy. But when he comes out and says it's not about the money and he sees a great opportunity at Canberra it's a bit of a kick in the guts for everyone.

And would anyone be commenting any differently if he said I took the money

As I said previously whatever he said he would of been damned

And if the Raiders are a Top 4 side in 3 years time we will all be eating our words

I doubt they will be , but we will have to wait and see

My issue are a lot of people are looking at this the wrong way

I run a business and if it was me I'd be asking "Why does this continue to happen and what do we have to do to stop this happening "

It can't always be the players fault , can it ??

Honestly mate if he came out and said I have to look after myself I would be looking at it a lot differently. To say he sees an opportunity at Canberra says to me he doesn't think a lot about our joint. And from the outside looking in to me the future has never looked brighter. But time will tell I guess.

Gee Happy what a tired old line, I thought you had better in you.

Of course footballers aren't allowed to live by the same rules as ordinary folk. That is part and parcel of being a famous sports person.

Footballers are constantly getting into trouble for doing stupid things, because they get held to a higher account, because they are famous. They are role models, whether they like it or not.

Think of all the players over the years and all the stupid things they have done - pooped in a stairwell, grabbed a woman on the bum, public urination, drink driving, driving without a licence, get locked out naked from your hotel room, swim in war memorial fountain (hello assistant coach), get in a fight, slap a dude in the face…

Footballers get rammed in public for such stupidity, Joe Bloggs does not.

If you want to earn thousands of dollars every year working in a spectator sport, you have to accept the mood and the judgement of the spectators.

Otherwise go play park footy, where almost nobody cares what you do and you can be paid bugger-all for it.

Hey Happy…...shutup!!!

QLD Sucks.

So do you and Tedesco.

I know a couple of things that Tedesco and Happy have in common:-

1\. They lie.
2\. I don't want to hear either of them ever again.
3\. They have no class.
