Why we will win

Hey yo…

I was just perusing the weststigers.com.au website and listened to Tim Sheens previewing this weekends match.

Apparently the referees have admitted to him that the ruck has been far too slow and as of last week have been given directive to speed it up.

It is my (and many of your) opinion that the ruck speed and non-policing of the markers has been the reason for Robbie Farah's ineffectiveness this season and I expect this to change. If this decision has been made based on the fact than Sheens in particular has been parochial about this (and it would seem it has) then we could expect the WT vs. Parra game to be the one match that the referees in particular will speed up. This bodes extremely well for the Wests Tigers for a variety of reasons.

They will be fresh and fast. Parra won't be. Tigers off the bye with one player in Origin for 10 minutes while Parra have Hayne and Mannah backing up. Robbie Farah's usefulness will increase dramatically. His style of play will be in line with the style of refereeing and as our captain, when he is on song, it will rub off on the other players.

We have been a noted second half team so far this season and this can only be due to the fact that our level of fitness is greater than our counterparts. With this evening up of the ruck control in play, we will have more of a level playing field early in the contest, so it's entirely likely we'll lead early and stay in front. Couple that with the fact that we rise through a contest rather than fade we should thoroughly towel Parramatta.

Tigers will win this match comfortably. If Marshall plays it will be a bloodbath.
