Why will we improve next year?

Im prepared to write off 2016, call me unfaithful or whatever you like, we are crap, sitting on 14th, we have to win the vast majority of our remaining games.

The Farah/Taylor feud has re ignited, if Pascoe is serious about this club he will get rid of both, they are both poison.

Now, why will we improve next year?

- Moses/Brooks contract situation all over again
- Tedesco off contract
- No new signings

Thats a few reasons why we won't, any optimistic people here?

Hard to name any positives really, with Tedesco,Brooks and Moses off contract it can be very distracting for the playing group as well.

Hard to say. Our young "stars" outside of Teddy seem to have found their level (mediocre)

Under Potter I thought we were building to something. I thought he improved many individuals. When fit I thought our forwards played with vigour.

Don't get that feeling under Taylor. The squad seems motivated about once a month and pulls off a big win. Apart from that its either average or down right rubbish. I thought it was easy to fix the defence?

18 Months on im struggling to see where we have improved as a team.

I always thought sacking Potter was stupid, he was taking us places even by being restricted to only coaching…no recruitment or coaching staff amendments.

I remember we were top 4 in his second year until we got plagued by injuries.

Poor bloke, deserved better.

We'll have almost a full cap to spend for 2018 onwards. Sure so will the rest of the Comp however hopefully we'll get the jump on re-signing our chosen few & then look at bolstering our club from the outside. I hope Pascoe, Buckets etc. are well & truly onto this already. We can't lose Teddy & definitely need some strong external signings ASAP to build confidence in our club not only from a playing group but also sponsorship & fan perspective. Whether or not this includes a new coach is yet to be seen.

Nothing like a clean slate to get the ball rolling again.

Agree with you there. Who knows what he would've achieved with the same authority JT controls(ed).

Anyone that thinks there is going to be a major improvement next season are fooling themselves ..how is that going to happen ? Is the club signing NRL quality players for wing/centre/ back rower/ and a hard nose front rower seems not.It also looks like Taylor will be the coach so knuckle dragging again next season ..I see absolutely nothing to look forward to next season unless if the Chq book is opened and to be frank an experienced NRL coach with a proven record of working with younger talent ..yes negative but that is how I see it.

I disagree our season is a write off. We aren't Newcastle or Parra for christs sake. The good thing for us is we're surrounded by inconsistent teams. Every side in the comp this yr, bar the top 4 are inconsistent. Hell, even the Broncos have lost 3 in a row. All it takes is a couple more wins and we are on the cusp of the 8.

Have a think about it, is this yr any worse than any other yr this club has ever had where it didn't make the finals. Go all through all our failed seasons and see how many wins we had at this point of the season. I'd say we're on par. It's only the status quo.

I can't see teddy staying unless we pay massive overs.

The only times we have been successful (2004-2005, 2010-11) was when we went out and bought proven quality and big names.

04 - Hodgson, Prince, Whaturia, Payten

09-10 - Ellis, Tuqiri

We cant keep going to the recycle bun and hoping to buy gold.

However if were not in a position YET to buy 1-2 really good players im happy to not waste it by signing 5-6 recycled/reserve grade standard players.

1 or 2 quality players is all it takes to turn it right around.

Need to get the house in order before we start worrying about next year

I still want the clown who let JAC slip away sacked

That's gross incompetence. Someone has to be made an example of over that.
