Will Potter bring anyone with him?

ye i was thinking that too.. potter must be well respected in the super league, so not just someone from the bulls but other good players who want to come to the nrl would like to play under potter as well.

as for sammut, i only saw a youtube highlights of him, i liked what i saw: tough, good kicking game, hyper active, ready to take control.. nice for us at half i thought. BUT pretty sure i read on nrl.com a few days ago that he has signed with another super league club.

Sammut played NRL a few years back and was a good prospect. I wondered what happened to him.

It is quite obvious that West Tigers are lacking an extra hard headed prop or two. I am sure that Mick Potter has connections with U.K. based super league props who would be quite happy to join West Tigers.

BMM, WOODS, BIG RED, BUCHANAN, GROAT! You could play Blair and Pettyborne their as well, amongst others.
Maybe we should buy Thaiday or Scott? How about big Willie? He played well last year.
Do you think the cap is open and we can have all the best props going round?
We have what we have and they aren't too bad in my opinion!

BMM, Blair, Pettybourne aren't props. They've played not more than 20 games across all three careers at prop (stats from another thread).

Groat and Buchanan aren't proven first graders and we saw how that worked out for us this season and when one of the players was woods.

I think the consensus is that we're short of one senior prop. Outside of bell and sauce we're short.

To those suggesting Purtell… He is just awful. He is worse than Moltzen under the high ball and has hands like feet.

I wouldn't take anyone from the current Bradford squad.

Pretty sure Purtell retired after having a heart attack during a game

Purtell didn't actually have the 'attack' during a game, he was unwell on the team bus on the way home and the team Doctor recognised the signs and got him to a hospital ASAP, with the prompt treatment hwe recieved there should be no reason why he couldn't resume playing League, but not at the Tigers, we have plenty of fit young guns.

It wasn't that long ago that a member of the Junior Lions ? Bateman who toured Oz recently was linked to the Tigers but is staying put at the Bulls along with the kiss of death Jarrod Sammutt.

I guess I didn't elaborate well in enough in that post, that's my fault. What I meant was I wouldn't trade anyone yet, not without a full season under Potter.

I'm asking where are we going to get the cash to buy any more players? We will have to do with the squad we've got. If that means bringing in props from the 20s or putting Pettyborne, Blair or BMM there then that's all we can do. Any of those 3 could fill in if needs be.

Ask Penrith fans what they think of him

Heard Micky has a good relationship with Graham McGrath so it's all good

Not likely he will bring anyone from ESL

Cap is well and truly full

Hope Potter's first move as coach is to get rid of Moltzen ,not that I think anyone will be interested in him
