Will Potter weild the axe?

miller was dreadful, i said all along he is not the answer, nor is putting molzten back there, bot our forward pack are terrible, koro runs the ball back hard and quicker than our pack. the knights hit the line we walk to the line, it is going to be a long hard season, think we may see the WOODEN spoon, me thinks.

I doubt he will make huge changes.
Utai looks done after getting hooked mid game. Possibly tedesco coming in at fullback or to replace utai. Maybe some subtle changes with the forward pack to create more balance.
Though I'm sure a few players will be told in no uncertain terms that next week v penrith they need to put in a big one otherwise they will be dropped.

If Our forward pack for Sunday isn't
8 Woods
9 Farah
10 Keefy
11 Fulton
12 Blair
13 Bell
14 BMM
15 Buchanan
16 Pettybourne
17 Anasta

Potter is kidding

Doubt it… He was probably bullied into his round 1 selections, so I can't see why that won't continue for round 2, 3, 4 & possibly 5.

Size does matter, but I'm not to sure we have it?!

I'm thinking Utai may not be back in a starting role. Miller was flat out awful, but think he may stay in.
Moltzen was terrible.

Bring in Tedesco and Nofoaluma methinks.

The only ones that normally get dropped after these sorts of games are wingers.
Tedesco to wing for Utai.. Tedesco played junior football on the wing and can read the game much better option than Reddy.

Defensive coach should be the first to go if any. Our defense is no better, and in some cases worse than it has ever been. I watched from the grandstand and couldnt work out why BOTH our wingers were 15m infield with 2 knights outside them all game.
I think we need positional stability to start with. Last year our backline was shuffled like a deck of cards an we even had Fulton playing hooker! Try to keep the same side together for familiarity and better communication in decence. If it doesn't work, make changes then. It's only rd1.
My 2c

You only pull out the axe if you have a better choice,Utai has to go,but really most other players need a few weeks.Really with the amount of ball they had and the defensive work load they were forced into by dumb errors its wonder we did not get 70 put on us.

Its funny people have already called for Moltzens head, what about Benji, he did not even work up a sweat

We have the worst backrow in the comp
Starting there would be a good start

Considering potter weakened it before the game I don't have much faith he will do what is required

It was a very silly decision by Potter to start with the lightwight Fulton and Anasta as second rowers and the his selections for this round indicate that he does not gave a grip on the various abilities of players available throughiut the grades. Tigers could not hold possession because they did not know what they were doing. Benji compunded this by often kicking on the third tackle when we desperately need possession. This was a team in disarray on the field. Very, very dissapointed by the effort put in by the coach and most of the players. Why no report on what happened to Pettybourme?

Utai , miller should go bring in teddy to the wing shift Anasta to 7 pack being
8\. Woods
9.farah
10.galloway
11.fulton
12.bmm
13.blair
Rotating in with buchannon , pettybone ,bell , maybe utai on the bench

I'd go the same players, but different rotation. Pettybourne must start, he hits the line hard and could well find himself break the line a couple of times out wide. Blair was plenty more involved tonight at lock, moreso in defence, shouldn't move him. Rotate him with Anasta

I agree. I thought Blair was ok, particularly early on in the match. Buchanan very solid for his first match and BMM was reasonable. You can't have Anasta and Fulton on the field at the same time.

I think it is a bit harsh saying Miller should go. He played behind a pack that was well and truly beaten and never got in the game after 10 minutes. Just too much drop ball.

It all felt the same as years gone by. In fact the only difference was Farah took someone else with him to the press conference because Sheens was not available. Nothing was different and the same plays were being run. I was interested in Gasnier's comments right at the end of the night. He gave Potter a wrap and said he will go away and really work on their defence, that was a trait he had in the Super League. I just wonder if Potter is giving them all enough rope….

That turned out to be a too predictable result! The Knights were always going to be in a better place than the Tigers compared to this time last year! Benny now has a Team he wants to compete with this season!
Mick has got to make do with what is already there, The Senior Players have got to put there hands up and admit it was a very poor performance and they got bullied by the Knights big time!
At least Mick knows where the line is now and how far down its drawn.
Tigers fans have got to be patient 1st half the season as you will get another couple of results like last night. It’s going to be a rebuilding process and the Board have got to back Mick properly to get the winning Team they and the Fans want!
The Fans have just got to grit their teeth and just support the Team through the process! Having been there watching my Team in the UK go down the tubes it aint easy but you just do it!

All throughout the off season all the players have been saying they are all competing for their positions and how competitive and hard off season it has been. I would not expect wholesale changes but certainly a couple, lets see how if all the words during the off season translate into action now that the season is underway.

Boy what do you do? Utai has to go, put Moltzen to the wing as he has plenty of pace & bring Teddy into Fullback. I would give Miller another go as he only seems to play one game then gets dropped, he has to be given a chance. The 2nd row i would have Anasta, Pettybourne & Blair @ lock as i thought Blair had a go last night. The bench i would have Thompson, Fulton who changes with Anasta Murdoch & Buchanan & 18th man would be Bell, thats my bit & if we get flogged again who knows.

I am retiscent (sp?) to give Moltzen a chance on the wing. he has pace but he wont guts it out of our end at all

I think it is too early for panic stations butI think the major issue was our pack (yet again) As others have said, we cant start with Fulton and Anasta. What disappointed me was that we had bought two real hard nuts in Pettybourne and Thompson and didn't use them. Sauce and Buchanan tired hard and Woods was short a run but we were generally monstered up the middle in both attack and defence. When that happens the 7,6,1 etc cant do anything. I think we need to back off a little on Miller and Benji - if the pack is on the back foot constantly there is little they can do. Why do you think Cowboys have Scott, Tamou, Sims etc - they help make JT as good as he is!
My only changes are Pettybourne and Thompson in, Reddy or maybe Teddy in for Utai

Agree. Utai needs to go though, I'd whack Mr T on the wing as he'll make just as many metres as Utai, plus he's twice his height and will at least contest a bomb.

I can't see Potter making too many changes after one game even though it was deplorable from WTs perspective but it would be stretching the patients to leave Utai on the wing as Penrith will rub their hands together if he is selected, too vulnerable for the team.
