Will Sheens see this out?

I am beginning to think Tim Sheens would be regretting his decision to return to the club. He was originally employed in a pathways role before being quickly elevated to ‘king of football’ status. Our powerbrokers seem intent to throw him under the bus for any unpopular decision even when that decision was about to be made when he arrived. He now looks to be the remaining scapegoat and is preparing for 2023 without a head coach.

Will Sheens continue to wear the bruises?

I was surprised he came back after getting the chop years ago and I’m also surprised we took him back after some of the decisions he made with players in positions when he was coach playing back rowers as centre and what not , this could be one great stuff up but time will tell , We just sacked a coach with no new coach nominated , we have just passed 10years of rebuild on rebuild and now sheens says we need time to develop players we are now a development club , I’d rather some one come in and say I’m hear to win the comp and I’ll,guy who ever and what ever I need to do it , Bit like the roosters , they don’t develop they just take from elsewhere

100% fixable through personnel changes. I think ‘development club’ comes from somewhere other than Sheens.

Considering he's in his 70's and the club has been a shambles for 22 years I'd say father time will be the deciding factor.
I would much prefer the messaging “we have brought in Tim to help us fix this” rather than “Tim is in charge and he will fix this”

Sheens' job right now is to find the right coach to develop the youngsters that will come into grade next year and beyond. if he does that then it's entirely up to him what comes next. the club is in a good spot off the field and in the lower grades. we just need to find the right coach. I've got no doubt he'll see it through and that he'll make the right call.

Sounds like that’s Wests Tigers PR. What about attracting and retaining first grade talent?

He is very safe for at least another year.

He is the main voice and has been the driving force behind the decisions and changes for the new direction.

He has told the board and they have acknowledged not to expect instant results

I'd say the coach has the most sway when it comes to attracting and retaining. do you reckon the Director of Football at the Roosters attracts and retains their first grade talent?

Do you think if we’re in this position in 12 months the Board will remain patient?

Maguire wasn't a scapegoat. 3.5 years of the team and players going backwards was enough.

It is a committee with the coach having the strongest voice. That chair on the committee has nobody in it, hence this thread.

At Rortsters Uncle Nick would get involved for ‘certain players’

I think that the board will remain patient, because they themselves have announced this new commitment.

Perhaps, the question that should be asked is, will the fans remain patient?

Well Finest if they say no after 12 years who could blame them!
