Will that be the turning point.

I can only hope it will be, but the past three games should have all been the turning point, and it's only asking more questions than it's answering.

As SC said, as long as Sheens plays guys who are out of form and out of position (or both,) we're in for a particularly long season. We've been fortunate to have played the three worst teams in the comp the past three games, as it's given an artificial perception that we're returning to form.

It's not all bad though, some players are coming good (Ayshford has slowly got his form back, Moltzen is showing more consistency, Farah starting to return to his former best,) and that's probably the most rewarding part of the past three weeks.

That last part you mentioned is very important. As you said, Aysh, Moltz and Robbie are slowly gaining some kind of form, as as they do, players around them will get some form back too. Form isn't just about a single player. If the whole team is playing bad, then it's very hard to be an in-form player.

We won the game. We didn't win performance wise because benji was at halfback, Lawrence was at five eighth, humble was an unseen man and we didnt have hieghnington and Ellis. But what I don't get is the only injuries are in the fowards so why the disjointed backline? The only player left in position was Farah.

Has anyone pointed out yet that 3 of our wins so far this yr have been by 1 point? This side should be travelling alot better then they are, but they aren't. They are just producing rubbish atm. I blame it on the coaching

Did you feel this way last year after we lost to the Titans after leading 14-0? Or after the loss to Parramatta, given the crap way they'd been playing?

Or maybe after the Souths loss of 50 - 10 in 2010, where it seemed our boys simply gave uP? Maybe after the Manly game later in the year, where we didn't seem to compete in the forwards at all and lost comprehensible?

AND YET we made not only the Top 8 but the Top 4 in both those years. With the same coaching staff.

We have crappy performances. We win ugly. We sometimes even lose ugly. But since late 2009, after just missing out on the 8 in a narrow loss to Parra, we have consistently played well at the backend of seasons (When it MATTERS) and got the job done. Whinge all you want about performances, team selections, sacking Sheens etc. Go through the forum history and around this time of year, it is a consistent topic of discussion. The reality is we end up pulling through, playing extremely well at the backend and making the finals not only as potential premiers but as deadset threats.

Bismarck that's one of the best feeds I've read. I'm a firm believer that a guy who has coached over 600 games in a sport that's notoriously trigger happy towards coaches might just know what he is doing.
The notion that Sheens makes decisions without any thought or is guided by friendships at the expense of smart management is ludicrous.
I dont profess to be any expert but to me it makes sense to experiment with players and positions against the teams struggling?
If Rowdy plays 5/8 against manly I'll eat my words.
With the possibility of losing Robbie, Rowdy, Sauce and Woodsy at some stage in the next 10 weeks or so to SOO duties and at the same time meeting very good opposition maybe all this tinkering will work to our favor.
