Will we see Brooks tonight ??

With all the negative talk going on , we need a positive

I reckon we might see Brooks tonight , the club has to do something to put it in a positive light

What do others think , or possibly may have seen at training ??
 
I'd love to see Anasta and Marshall both dropped with Siro and Brooks in the halves. Inexperienced but exciting, don't see it happening though unfortunately :frowning:

I doubt it. If Potter is getting punted why would he care about building for the future?
May as well let the usual suspects run out and fumble and bumble their way around the field for 80 mins then have a good old laugh and backslap in the sheds after.

This (the possible Potter sacking) could be a ruse to take any attention off the fact Brooks is playing

Remember on Monday we were making an exemption claim for Brooks to play and it has become impossible for us to make the 8 mathematically now
 
Potter should just go all out and dump Marshall, Anasta and Ayshford. He is getting the sack anyway, so may as well give these underperforming pricks one last big up yours.

He might be a late inclusion.
But as for Potter, he doesn't strike me as a quitter. I think he'll try his best no matter what. You just don't get two daily M awards at two different clubs for nothing. He comes across as a honest hard working man trying to better the team and the club. Just my thoughts…

Bengal Tiger i have exactly the same view of Potter as you, my post was definitely not taking a shot at him.

The 2nd paragraph was a sarcastic reference on how it looks to me like some of these established players think the team should be run.
 
I think Brooks will get a run, when Mayer was asked if they have asked the NRL for a salary cap exsemption he would not say one way or another, I am hoping he is trying to keep it quiet to keep any pressure off the young bloke and keep Parra in the dark.
And surely Potter is not seriously going with Anasta at half back again, if he does he deserves to get sacked.

If we don't get a second tier exemption, he may not have a choice. Potter's available halves are Anasta, Marshall and Sironen. It's exactly the same situation as Sheens found himself in, reshuffling the same players due to cap pressure. That's how Liam Fulton found himself playing 5/8th at the end of last year.
 
Potter should do a Daniel Anderson and completely f*ck us. The guy released Feleti Mateo and Krisnan Inu cause he knew he was getting the sack LOL.
 
No changes in today's late mail on the NRL website.. Haven't heard anything else either way. Game starts in around an hour so we'll find out shortly.
 
Someone on here said that they saw Mayer at a game the other week, and that he stated that they already have exemption for Brooks but were waiting for this game to play him. They wouldn't name him or mention the exemption as to avoid any hype about his debut.

This was just someone's word on a message board, but for some reason it sounded true. So expect Brooks to be playing and Anasta to drop to the bench or pick up a mysterious training injury.

If we were trying to muddy the waters, why would we name Luani? I'd say he's a no-show.

I don't think we are trying to muddy the waters Masterton,I think we are trying to protect Brooks from 60 journalist being in his face when he shows up for his NRL debut and heaping pressure on him
