I distincly and very clearly stated the Balmain and Wests clubs as well as WT
The new WT board doesn't control those two clubs.
You said that all three need each other to survive. I assume that you are talking about Balmain, Wests and the Weststigers?
For the last couple of seasons, Weststigers are getting the money from Wests Ashfield, Balmain not so much. So I guess that we only need two to survive.
This is very much what needs to happen.
I'd even suggest something a bit more radical.
Wests Ashfield pay out Balmain's debt. In return they get the Balmain's venues and rebrand them as Wests Tigers. Wests Ashfield get a majority % of the profit (ie 65% and Balmain get the remaining profit). Balmain can still have their committee and organisation etc and have their members on the WT board.
Wests Ashfield change to Wests Tigers and be the official Leagues Club for the NRL side.
If Magpies want to keep their club at Campbelltown, then they can do so if they wish, but ultimately, they should rebrand as well.
The organisations running Balmain and Wests would still exist and would still run the WT.
The leagues clubs will all be run by Wests Ashfield as Wests Tigers.
Just to correct you:
Ashfield cannot legally change and have already made clear about (not) changing name to Wests Tigers Leagues Club.
Campbelltown Leagues Club have nothing to do with Wests Magpies or Wests Tigers (apart from Sponsoring the Junior League comp)
The only time Wests would "pay out" debt of Balmain would be any owing debts they had to WT at the time of 50% remainder buy out, not the other debts Balmain have (i.e. Debts owing to Rozelle Village Co. and the $12m odd in operating debts they have.
Ashfield are fully committed to financially supporting Wests Tigers.
Unless a very Wealthy backer decides to buy out the lot (including Wests share) then nothing will change. Doubtful considering there would be huge debts to purchase for very little return.
