Wille Mason Thread

Whilst WESTS TIGERS may have withdrawn their interest …...... will Wilie appear in a TIGERS jersey in 2010 (maybe a Balmain Tigers jersey). I have mail that Benny Elias is trying to facilitate a deal that would see Willie join the Tigers.

Could we see him closer to Wests Tigers than we think??????????????

Well if it happens I think we have the depth we have been lacking. If this did happen, then Folkes and Mason need to get a room and make up

well Folkes and Mason were at a function a few weaks back and Mason went up to Folkes and tried to aplologise and shake his hand Folkes ignored him and walked away. Cant see these to sorting things out in a hurry i say it will be one or the other

the NRL will continue to function, whether certain players are there or not.
maybe alot of players are beginning to realise this, and they are having a reality check.

I reckon he will end up at Newcastle. He will be closer to his family, and the Knights now have space in their cap due to the Danny Wicks saga.

Mason has several enemies in Newcastle. He has slagged off and rubbished too many people over the years and people do not forget it. I hope he gets a start somewhere. The bloke has a big mouth but thats just him.

People in the WT organisation want him. I was told yesterday that the Fonz wants Mason.

I would be happy if he joined us as a prop.

I'd like to see him at West Magpies if anywhere. However the Cowboys are in the talk for him. From what I read Willie wants to go to the Cowboys to.Interesting times ahead, hope the season starts asap…...

the thought of the following pack is mind-boggling:

8\. Galloway
9\. Farah
10\. Cayless
11\. Ellis
12\. Mason
13\. Heighington

I can't see it happening if these reports of the feud between Mason and Folkes is true. But let's for a minute imagine that he did make up with Folkes, Farah and the rest of the people he's insulted over the years, then we'd be short priced favorites for the comp. I'd pay $60k for that

I would as well. But his verbal attacks upon Steve Folkes and what he has said about Robbie Farah that time when Robbie was going for the NSW 9 jersey was nothing short of disgusting.

It's not 2004 anymore, Mason is useless, and has been usless for the best part of 5 years, minus a few decent form spurts in 06 and 08.

Absolutely spot on. Let's say no to players who put in 2 great games a season, and 20-odd duds.

I thought it was O'Meley who bad mouthed Farah in regard to Origin.

May be wrong though

Yeah I remember that one, it was on field.

O'meley "You gonna whinge about not making Origin again?"

Farah "Better than being a fat has been"

The most puzzling part of that is I can't once remember Farah ever having a whinge about Origin, unless saying you wanna play it makes you a whinger?

would not be suprised where-ever Willie Mason ends up, that he has a real go this season to show every one he can be a good player when he puts his mind to it.

I personally am dissapointed that we are not going for Willie anymore. I honestly believe that he is going to have a great year and stay clean off the year. From listening to him talk you can really tell that is very unhappy with his current reputation and has a real point to prove next year.

O'meley sledged him on the field. Mason dissed him in a media interview. It was disgusting. Mason was sticking up for his mate Buderus who had lost 3 origins in a row as captain.

I wouldn't think Benji would want Mason at Wests after Mason tryed to injure him on fulltime when Wests played the Bulldogs just before the finals in 2005\. I think that was the game.

would be ironic this season to see Willie lying flat on his back and Bryce Gibbs give him some ' encouragement' to get up like Willie did to Bryce early in season 2006.
