Willie Mason [Discussion]

Hope Keith is back otherwise we will lack the go-forward of Ellis with Fulton taking his place, Liam runs some good lines but doesn't have the power or size when he hits the line.

Bad choice. We need a big prop NOW. Get mason for the year humphries u mongoose.

Wake up to yourselves West Tigers Corporate Guys your running a football team not the NAB Bank … if you want to win sometimes you have to make decisions that the sponsors are not going to like

When I read the latest article about the club not wanting to sign Mason again, it kind of reminded me of when a team has a bad run and the CEO say's ' The Coach has our full support of the board and backing' then next week he gets punted. This saga with Mason sounds like 'We are not interested in signing Mason end of story' and the next week we will announce Masons signing.

I guess no Ellis for three months might have the board do a backflip but really what would Mason offer that Junior Moors dosnt??? I think we should have a long term picture for any new recruits, no hope and pray short term fixes

When you are putting your 2 million a year in you to can have your say around the table if the sponsors don't want the face of Mason around there name well so be it! And to be frank Mason is finished just a Knee jurk reaction IMO.

Hearing he is still a chance to sign this week. Will keep posted

Thanks smoking gun. Off topic, I just have a question for you - do you have any inside info as to why Junior Moors is not given a proper go in first grade? He's a consistently good player, who has never let us down in his very limited time in first grade. Yet he is always the first one dropped when we have a bad game or when someone comes back from injury. I just don't get it, because, with our present lack of forward power, we could really use him right now.

Ok smoking gun, by your non-response to my question, I assume you have no idea then?

I have an answer to your question.

He is not a first grade player. How's that.

He plays a lot better than Groat, Col

LOL
flippedy, the Smoker dosent know ,thats why you havent got your answer.
Col is close to the mark .Junior Moors was going to be the next big thing at Penrith but copped a lot of injuries early in his career but hasnt got back to the form he displayed when an up and comer .
He probably would be a better option than Groat , but Sheensie will stick with his stubborness on Groat.

Fair enough guys, but I reckon he has shown enough, in his short stints with us this year, to be given more of a chance. If he was given more than 15 minutes game time once every month, he might actually start to reach that potential.
