Tim Sheens said he hasn't spoken to him, thats not to say someone else at the club hasn't. I wouldnt be surprised if someone at the club inquired about how much Willie wanted.

I didnt think that this would drag on as much when i brought it up initially .
I have noticed the longer it has dragged on that more mason supporters have come out of the woodwork.
he wont play for peanuts and i am guessing thats what most teams have offered him hence the reason it has dragged on for so long.
I still think we are a prop short in our top 25 squad.

Despite the rumour mill going into overdrive in recent weeks, big Willie Mason will not be going to the Tigers. "We deont have the money or the room", coach Tim Sheens says. "I Haven't even spoken to Him."

Looks like there is our confirmation. Mason is not coming to the Tigers. Case closed.

I have no reason to despute Smoking Gun,I beleive Willie has either wanted to much money or turned us down,and Sheens is not letting on.

Iam sure when any player of any note is on the market their management sends out feelers, in our case Warren McD would be the first point of contact and he would probably handle the very early talks and determine if in fact we had cap space. Not saying Sheens would not be involved, but very possible their were talks going on just to find out what he wanted, I would never doubt Guns info. Anyway put it to bed now

The longer this all drags out the longer I think it's us he's coming to. After the Moltzgate incident and then the prolonged signing of Blair it just feels like we're signing him, as there's no word from the club, it's taking an age and everything's hush hush. If its another club signing him, what are yet waiting for?

There are so many people who say they have a reliable source who says he's signed, then there are others who say they know a source who says the Tigers haven't even spoken to him. You realy don't know what to believe

All I know is that what I've stated before which is that it would be resolved with in 2 weeks. That was around 8-9 days ago. Strong word in the rl community is that he was putting pen to paper today. With who remains the question… Penrith or wests
