Willie Mason [Discussion]

I personally think he would be a great buy, especially if he is on a second tier contract. He is an experienced and intimidating forward which is what we need while Galloway is out. He would and mongrel to our side which is always good. I reckon he will behave himself because he knows that this is his last chance in the NRL.

Buying Willy Mason is a bad move by the West Tigers. Whatever happened to the NO D%#khead policy?

I do not want the team to return to the bad old days of the early 2000's. i.e. Hoppa, Craig Field, Kevin McGuinness ect… Especially after we finally got rid of Robert Lui.

Lui is a completely different case to Mason all together. Sure Mason has said and done some stupid things, but what Lui has been accused off is a low as one can go.

FMD… This isnt a decision of what day of the weekend the Wiggles should play.

Fans are too emotional... Make a decision based on what's best for the team structure Sheens!!!

Exactly right what will be next , We have a raffle each week and one of the members picks the side :crazy

Gee , if you get a go Watto you'll pick yourself going by your comments the last 2 weeks Hopefully you win the raffle Round 10

_**Most of them are not massive stories but the way the media put it out there, it’s like I’ve killed someone or something.**_

They left out Coffs harbour and the fact it was he drinking with Carney when he got in trouble for breaking his alcohol ban

I can't help thinking that this whole wanting to sign Mason saga is a desperate move by a club in a bit of bother. Everyone has been going on about how much depth we now have because of our recruitment over the off season, but somehow we just never seem to manage the right balance.

**We get Blair and Bell to beef us up and get rid of Gibbs and Fafita because of the cap or whatever** - but now we need someone else because we've been exposed up front, yet again, and have looked real bad in losing a couple of games. I know there's been injuries to Galloway and Ellis, but there are always injuries to Galloway and Ellis - we really needed to prepare better for this.

It's like we're always putting band aids on broken bones. We've had a whole off season to get this right! When is recruitment gonna get some foresight into exactly who and what is needed to balance this team? So, now we have the scenario, 4 rounds into the comp and we're chasing a bloke well past his prime and who hasn't played an NRL match in how long? A bloke that we would never have even entertained the idea of signing in the past! Seems to me like the desperate action of a desperate club, made so because of a lack of vision.

There was Gibbs, Fafita, Payten AND Dwyer….replaced with Bell, Blair and a pommy midget. Groat & Woods contracts upgraded.

Simple maths shows you replace 4 with 2, then lose another 1 or 2 (Kilo + Gaz) along the way...and you will find yourself with a deficit

We have gone from favourites to win the comp to a club desperate to sign a washed "never was" let alone a has been.

Give BMM and Junior Moors more of a run and look to our future!

Surely the coaching staff can teach our current junior forwards how to tackle in the middle of the ruck - Willie is not the answer to our problems.

here's my opinion

HEY LETS SIGN SLATER AND CRONK AND FOLAU AND NOT LET ELLIS LEAVE AND BRING GIBBS BACK AND SIGN BENNETT TO BE SHEENS ASSISTANT AND GET TUIAKI A BIONIC LEG

please take that into account

you forgot to give them all boats, too.

it's stupid it has even got to this point.
can't believe sheens and alot of fans didn't see this coming.

i posted this last july in response to an article on why we had to release players after signing blair.
–--------------------------------------
so we extended a contract for sheens,so we could rebuild again?

where are the props?
same old same old to me.

he says we need to get bigger and stronger, yet we are turning to kids to do this.
kids that he always sprouts need 50 first grade games to become first graders.

looks to me we are still using backrowers to make the yards.
which has failed year after year.

until i see some seasoned props on the roster i can't see any reason to be optimistic for next year.

Ink might be easier to understand for some if you put it into an equation?

(G+F+P+D)<(B+B+P)

As if they are genuinely going to consider what we think.

There will be two factors:

1\. What Sheens wants;
2\. What the sponsors have to say.
