It's only 8 dats to the start of the comp and still no decision has been made. What is he waiting for?

..an offer perhaps…from somebody...anybody?
Everybody (except maybe Willie)has concluded at this stage of his career & with the potential baggage he brings that his market value has more than halved from the 400k or so from just a few yrs back. He's at best a reserve forward,& then only if he behaves himself.
Willies gotta work out whether $180k or so is worth getting out of bed for,& his potential suitors have gotta work out whether this frustration will guarantee him(as opposed to strong liklihood)of being a disruptive influence.
Invest in the future with players who are hungry, fit & committed like Groat Moors & co

Poor underpaid bugger! I wouldn't go to bed at all if someone paid me $180K a year!

Seriously though, I agree with you, Clontarfkid - we do need to invest in our future. I just wish Moors, in particular, would be given a go in the top grade, though. How long has he been with us now? Is this his 3rd year coming up? He has less mistakes in him and more first grade experience than both Groat and BMM, but it appears they always get the nod ahead of him. I reckon he would go well if given half a chance, but it looks like he's become the 'Mitch Brown' of the forward pack

PS Thinking of starting a 'Say NO to Willie' campaign - anyone interested in joining? :stuck_out_tongue:

Gut feeling tells me his signing with the tigers will be announced b4 the weekend

I imagine it will be announced in a few knights time

Yep, my money's on the Knights signing him, if anyone at all. Let's hope so - that way I won't have to start my 'Say No to Willie' campaign then. As Gothetigers pointed out, it would be bad timing with Mardi Gras around the corner

Was flicking thru the Knights website, they were basically howling down a bloke who heard a rumour that Willie was going to them….they dont want him either

@mase21 just tweeted to Matt Giteau that it will all be sorted by the end of next week …....

No sense leaving to the last minute then.

If his offer included 3rd party deals it will need approval by the salary cap auditor and that takes time. It may actually not be his fault

word on the street is that Porta-loo are one of the 3rd party deals

If Mason thinks it will be sorted by next week it means not only would he miss the opening Round or 2 but he still hasn't even trained with his new team. I was originally undecided on him but now hope we pass on this one.

 does anyone know if Willie is coming to the tigers yet?????

Fonz said he had not spoken to him and we have no money under the cap, and its not often the fonz lies in public anymore.

I would guess its Penrith.

There are so many people who say they have a reliable source who says he's signed, then there are others who say they know a source who says the Tigers haven't even spoken to him. You realy don't know what to believe

All I know is that what I've stated before which is that it would be resolved with in 2 weeks. That was around 8-9 days ago. Strong word in the rl community is that he was putting pen to paper today. With who remains the question… Penrith or wests

Is it two weeks yet ?

Did you mean two months ?

I think its been obvious that he won't be here for about a month. Not sure why people are still worrying about it

Well I heard from a good mate who's wife knows our chief exc and word is Willie is on the cards to sign for match payments if all goes well
