Willie mason ???

And why is the photo being taken at Concord….surely we are better served having this taken at Leichhardt or Campbelltown!

Interesting, with all the insults he used to fire towards the tigers… The blokes like a remora trying to latch on to the strongest fish in the sea and feed from its success, he must know if he comes here he will get a chance to win the premiership, I think he thought that when he went to the cowboys.

Oh well if it is true, he could be handy when/if KG plays origin again this year. Im sure he has been told the club has a no nonsense approach to all things off the field.

This is getting like tuesday arvo during the season: refreshing regularly to check if the teams been announced yet.

I hope we get him. He'll come cheap. He'll give us a aery imposing forward pack. And sheens and the rest will be able to control him off field I think.

Well it is only on Rumour mill….. I don't think that source is very reliable !

I don't think anyway has claimed he has signed, we are just discussing the rumour and hanging out to see if there's an announcement.

I may be in the minority here but I still think we a prop short and he would be a decent pick-up for minimal outlay.

Obviously it is a risk due to potential negative publicity, but has Mason really done that much wrong lately? IMO most of his serious misdemeanors were a very long time ago. More recently his only crime is that he is thick as two bricks. Unless of course you count pissing on the street after a big night out, which I don't. And if you did take that into account, I would point you to our current 20s coach who has topped that quite significantly.

Delete his Twitter account, tell him to shut his mouth and stay out of the papers and he will be fine. He played some decent football at the Cowboys, still hits the line hard and strong in defense. May have lost a yard of pace but would still make a significant impact as a bench player for us, IMO.

He is linked to the Knights and us, interestingly coached by Bennett and Sheens. That says a fair bit, IMO.
