Willie mason ???

He is linked to the Knights and us, interestingly coached by Bennett and Sheens. That says a fair bit, IMO.

Good point, I keep forgetting that the kniggets have a real coach now.

Hybrid we are definitely a prop short. Maybe even two props short as we lost two and gained a 2nd rower !!!!

Groat is still very green.

If we get injuries to our front towers we are stuffed.

Masons signature is vital.

Yeah I agree, just when you think you have enough props buy another one.

We got Bell… And a 2nd Rower who can play Prop.
But you are right, We are a man up front light!!
Not that Fifita did much last year, (And shouldn't take much to replace)
AND we still came 4th.... If we replace him with Mason and stay Injury Free....
THE REST WON'T STAND A CHANCE!!

thinking about it now…

Dear GOD what a pack we'd have.

Woods, Galloway, Ellis, Mason - All MASSIVE boys.

Blair, Ellis, Fulton, Heigno - all 80 minute players.

Farah as good a hooker as I have seen since Benny Elias

Its trememdous.

then we have Marshall leading them around the park, a hungry Tuqiri, then Lawrence, and then Ayshford hitting careeer best form at the end of last year.

Moltzen will be motivated as well, and will combine brilliantly with Marshall.

Honestly guys if we can't win it this year, then when are we going to win it next?

We can win it. As far as we are concerned we have ticked all the boxes that we can.

But will we win it? That's a completely different question all together and he way I see it, you still need lady luck on your side to get to the GF and win it. And only time will tell in that regard.

Still not sold on the Mason thing, everyone says we a prop short, not so convinced. Last year saw the evolution of the small mobile high work rate frontrower, okay you dont have four of them, but you can get by with one or two. What Iam saying is their are plenty of players in the lower grades who could play that role if push came to shove. Mason is going to hold back a player like BMM who will than start to look at other options in 2013.

Time will tell but I think we have all the experience in the world now and what we need is some young legs to start getting some experience because these guys who will be asked in a year or so to take over.

If he does sign plus having Blair in the team will be interesting to see our stats on off loads. It's been our weakness for a few years and considering how we play it would bring another dimension to our attack. Dominating tackles would also improve IMO.

What about a young future Australian Rep footaller at Fullback winning Rookie of the Year !

I dont think we have ticked the most important box of all….a specialist halfback.

Agree we can win it, but Moltzen will have to really step up if he stays at 7

What if Moltzen and his brittle body gets injured ???

Can't work out how we can find money for Mason after having to dump other guys.
Not saying he mightn't be a good buy.
In regards Moltzen getting hurt- we do have a few other options ( although without much first grade experience).
If he did get injured they would need to step up a la Cherry Evans.
By the way Bug I don't think you can put Moltzen in the brittle class for having a knee reconstruction-plenty of others in that category.
How would you describe Inglis - fragile?

I actually think the LAST thing we need is another big forward(regardless of masons credentials or lack thereof),as we already have one of the best packs & plenty of back-up
if anything happens to Benji, were totally lost for creative playmakers (particularlywithout Lui) & have some very specualtive backups at 6 & 7.Were gonna have Souths problem…giant forward pack, plenty of size &pace out wide, but no-one to set them up other than Benji.
Appreciate they dont grow on trees, but thats where we are vulnerable in 2012
