No one asked if you started the thread tiger05 . For once it's actually a complimentary thread saying how good our player is rather than bagging them out. I'm bot saying you bag them out personally and I don't care but all im saying if you put a player wher he probably should be then he's going to excel

I've been stating he is our best option at fullback for ages.

Peeps on here are struggling with admitting how much more I know about league than they do but I am not saying I told you so. I'm pretty modest about being a better judge of players than most on here.

:master: we are not worthy of your presence on here Tiger 05 Maybe we should all go away You are the Grand Poobah of League :master:

He is not fullback….no way. I don't think the Saints have him in mind for fullback either, regardless of the rumours in his signing for them to replace Boyd. I reckon he will be used as a super sub, just like he has been here.

Would have liked for him to get a longer stint at halfback.

I think alot of us forgot how good he is as fullback .

it's pretty easy to forget something that has very very rarely happened.

He and benji have a brilliant combination.

yes when he was at half

@blocka said:
He killed it befor he got injured and got his chance last week and killed it again.

and again he was going well at half…....and you're complaining that the rest of us forget stuff??

@blocka said:
Moltzen had so much talent and had plenty of time to become a brilliant fullback.

no one is denying he has talent…..so now he needs time to become a brilliant fullback?

Happy - great post.

He is Blake Fegursonesque in his ability to sook on a football field. I wish he had Fergo's ability though

Moltzen is exactly the sort of player who looks good when everything is going our way.

When we are in a dog fight, and the game is on the line and we are under pressure, he folds like a deck of cards.

Exactly the kind of luxury player we don't need.

His highlights package would only consist of him hitting inside holes off benji.
But hes a selfish player who lacks heart defending kicks.
Even on Saturday, he made the break and had players on either side and he threw a dummy and made it hard and went himself.
He can't help himself when he sees the white line. Tim Montana

This.

I said in the live thread that I couldn't believe that Bowen fell for that dummy because he was never going to pass.

He left an unmarked Brown posted numerous times out wide this year taking the line on himself. Whether that's because he's a ball running five eighth or a selfish player is up to debate.

CB the biggest mistake Bowen made was breaking the golden fullback rule .If it is raining or wet you always in the end take the ball runner as there is greater chance when he passes the ball may get dropped due to slippery conditions .

As happy tiger said always take the ball runner, he dummies & you take it you look like the goose. must admit though he was never going to pass the ball though going on past performances.

If Bowen had done some scouting of Moltzens play he would have realized that this year he has not passed the ball to his outside men EVER.

As breathtaking as the play looked, my heart went into my mouth when Moltzen didn't put the ball on the chest of Lawrence, and he very nearly made it hard for himself.

He had a good game, but there are parts to his game which need addressing, and the inability to find a support player is one of them.

well, his ability to get caught on camera having a pout is up there with Fergo.

At least moltzen (to my knowledge) doesn't give the touch judge on his side of the field a constant spray like that grade-A Prat Fergusson always does.

You just shot down the most passionate member of the Moltzen Fan club with that post, you obviously haven't been on here to see how much of a supporter Tiger05 is of the guy.

Classy stuff.

It was actually a very clever and humorous post at his own expense.

Kudos to you for it Tiger05\.

Im sad to see him go before he did his knee in 2009 his stats were 20 linebreaks from 22 games playing full back, he has got 2 whole games at fullback this year broncos 2 tries and last week great team play between him and benji and farah, although he proberly should have passed to lawrence anyone who watches football knows matty bowen always goes for the intercept in that situation ive never seen him take the player with the ball ever in my life, i do agree needs to bring the ball back harder but his accleration around the ruck is very dangerous which he is just getting back with game time and confidence, also i beleive he is a much better option then lui in the halves lui can not tackle to save himself anyone who says moltzen cant only has to look at the melb game played the whole game made 17 missed 2 rob lui off the bench 20 mins 5 missed tackles

Tiger05 being accused of being a Moltzen hater….lol that'll do me Blocka...

He is not, never has been, and most probably never will be a top line fullback.

Is he a good player? Yes.

Has he found his position on the field in first grade? Not yet.

His best position at this time is that of super sub...good money bet thats why the Dragons want him.

incorrect. they have definitely bought him with the intention to play fullback. that could change between now and rnd 1 next year, but their intent is for him to be in the 1 jersay
