Woods hammered by Tunks on Talkin Sport

Driving home tonight I was listening to 2SM Talkin Sport a predominantly Rugby League talk back show hosted by Graham Hughes, Peter Tunks (ex Bulldogs hardman) and Gavin Robertson… There was a lot of talk about how the Tigers caved in yesterday and Tunks in particular was very critical of Aaron Woods. Tunks went on to say how he feels Woods statistically may have the numbers of a top notch front rower but Tunks felt Woods show very little aggression or leadership in the pack and that yesterday he really should've shown aggression and leadership in our pack when the Raiders were on their comeback roll... Tunks said he felt Woods Lacked the killer instinct to be a top notch front rower...he reckons Woods takes a hit up... Pauses to adjust his headband when he should be more involved.... Maybe Tunks is jealous of Woodsies hair??? When I think about it Tunks's comments have some merit... I'd like to see Woods forget about his hairband and show a lot more aggression in hit tackles aka Taupau... Thoughts...?

Woods is not an aggressive front rower, never has been. He has a good motor and good footwork close to the line and natural strength which helps him drive through the defence, aside from that I have never been wowed by his defence. It's adequate, but nothing more.

I'd like to see Woodsy fire up like he did last year against Souths and Manly. Sue gets a double palm to the face and Woodsy stood there smiling.
Hopefully Daley will do us a favour and snub him for Origin.

I noticed him again farting around with his hair….it seems to be very important to him, his looks....becoming a bit of a show pony...gives me the poops tbh

He is very lazy in some regards...defense is average

Not a fan of his hair. If Sheens was still coach, he wouldn't have allowed him to play with that head of hair. His personality i'm not really a fan of either. I've copped grief in the past for saying that, and i'm not saying i don't like him, just his attempts at coming across as a larrikin don't do much for me. Just play football son.

Under Wayne Bennett there are no attention grabbing hair cuts allowed.

His teams do not have individuals.

If one of his players had a man-bun, Bennett would probably chop it off himself.

The team comes first, not an individual’s desire to be noticed so Garbutt and Gavet’s impressive collection of hair disappeared during the pre-season.

I've never been a fan of Bennett, but I really like this policy

Tunks and Hughes, while they've been better this year, are dinosaurs and envious of todays players and it's quite evident.

Pappy is probably the most level-headed one and Robbo is an absolute spanner.

I treat the show as entertainment value. Nothing more, nothing less.

Tunks has obviously taken one two many hits to the head. Woodsie is not the problem. You just have to watch the SOO last year to see Woodsie keep Thaiday under control everytime he tried to run in and start something.
Yes he may not of had the best game by his standards yesterday, but he was one of our best. Canberra have been playing well of late, not like wooden spooners others have adhered to on here. Just listen to how Belmany praised Canberra's efforts against the Storm saying it was a major factor in them beating the Roosters this week. When we got to 22-0 we clocked off 5-10% and once you do that in this competition you loose. We need to address our kicking game just as much as our defense. Without a good kicking game we are putting too much pressure on our forwards!

Thaiday has long hair…..

Imagine Taupau without hair! :wtf :wtf

Woods is a champion. But his hair is a distraction. One piece of advise Woodsy.. "Cut it, shave it, braid it, plait it, ponytail it. For Gods sake get it out of your eyes." If it gets pulled often enough he might shave it all off.
