@VanillaThunder said:I'd like to see Woodsy fire up like he did last year against Souths and Manly. Sue gets a double palm to the face and Woodsy stood there smiling.
Hopefully Daley will do us a favour and snub him for Origin.

Pappy is probably the most level-headed one and Robbo is an absolute spanner.
I treat the show as entertainment value. Nothing more, nothing less.
@jirskyr said:The bloke is a prop and makes 200 m and 30 tackles per game. Enough said.
@turnstyle said:ive got no problem with hair, but its obviously taking his mind off the job when as a professional it shouldnt.
it reminds me a lot of austin last season before his chop: constantly getting it out of his eyes at dummy half that wasted time.
as tigermama said, just get it braided for games like a lot of ufc fighters do. problem solved. i did notice the guy pulling his hair in that tackle! ha ha… i thought only girls pulled hair!
but i cant see why he would cop criticism. i actually like to see him smiling on the field - note: not having a laugh after a loss like sunday though. also, pretty much every time he hits it up he gains another 5-7m every time he is tackled.
i really feel any negative comments aimed at him apart from appearing flippant after the loss are unwarranted and a bit cynical.
@hybrid_tiger said:Woods plays too many minutes. He gets lazy after 20.
@Tiger In The Gong said:As some others have said im not a huge fan of the way he acts but there is nothing wrong with his style of play.
Tunks does raise an important point though. We are missing an enforcer, someone tough who scares people who can get the forwards back in the game with a big play.

Just because you don't like the show doesn't change the fact that Tunks was right
I love woodsy , but he's not the same player he was at the beginning of last year

Not arguing that he's not good , but stats are not everything. When was the last time you saw him stop someone like someone like Hargraves in his tracks ??

Who said I didn't like the show? If I didn't like the show I wouldn't listen to it.
Even good players have off days. If a bad day for Woods is 211m and 33 tackles from 65 minutes while missing a handful of tackles I'll take that every day of the week. Yeah, probably pisses about with his hair too much, but commenting on his performance… Tunks is off his head.

Stop opp props in their tracks? Constantly. We are talking about Woods right?
He's had maybe 3 or 4 bad missed tackles that I can think of in his career, one being Boyd on Sunday.
He doesn't lean in with the shoulder and put on punishing hits. It's not his style, he wraps the ball and drives to ground. Farah does the same, only Marty Taupau really leans into tackles, and got himself knocked out a few times for the trouble.
In fact I'd argue props aren't really around to be defensive enforcers, their job is to hold the ruck tight and stop big bodies at the line. If they spent all day putting on hits, they'd chop down their on-field stamina by 10 minutes.
Seriously his weekly stats are something like 35 tackles made, 0-1 missed.
