Woods having lunch with Bulldogs players

Now call me a dinosaur but this makes me angry as a Tigers fan.

I know Woods is mates with a few of them through NSW Origin etc. He might see them regularly.

However the week we are playing them? We are down on our knees at 2 wins and 5 losses after another terrible capitulation last week.

We play this dirty mob this week and there is our captain going having lunch with half the Bulldog side. Imagine James Graham having lunch with 3 Tigers players this week. Not in hell would he do that.

He even said on the NRL 360 since he became mates with Thurston he doesn't want to hit him as hard. So what perception am I left with coming into this game as a fan?

Im not silly enough to think players from other clubs regulary hang out.

However the week we are playing them?

Our fearless leader?!

Time to find another one.
 
Im talking about this weeks game.

Why are we having lunch with half the opposition for this week?

Its just rubbish timing.

This us not about Woods contract.

This about the perception our fans get going into this weeks big game.

For me its a very poor one.
 
Sometimes I think, What have we done to deserve wave after wave of terrible player and just as bad administrator.

Disappointing Woods
 
After initilly being angry (and I do agree it was a stupid thing for him to do in public this week) I then calmed down and realised that it is ok. On the field I want players to go as hard as they can but off the field I always teach my kids that you play hard but then shake hands and are mates the moment the game ends and you go and socialise. Now they aren't on the field so I have no issue with them socialising. In fact I always found when I played blokes I liked out side the game I always played that little bit harder
 
I don't think it's the greatest thing to do but I don't feel it's that big a deal. Everyone know he's mates with Klemmer and they hang out so it's not that surprising. More than likely they were ribbing each other about the game and playing your mates always fires you up a little more.
 
The guy is obviously short on IQ, what person would put himself in that position. Bad look for the club and bad look for Woods
 
I just wonder what effect if any it has on his (current) team mates, if any

Timing is bad…he isnt a captains butthole

spot on, and our captain .Disgraceful.
 
I don't give a rats who they socialise with..I don't follow them on social media or hang on there every bowel movement…

I care what the do when they cross the white line for 62min ..hopefully that can stretch to 80 min against the Dogs on Sunday..they can then do what they please eat drink socialise party with whoever they want...
