Woods must be playing!

I'd suggest you may be on the money if Reddy also played NSW Cup… But while Rowdy isnt 100%, there is every chance Harry will carry a back?!

Thompson played in NSW cup so I am assuming Woods will start and Buchanan to the bench?

Yeah I noticed that too… Would be great news if Woodsys back in but worries me that Joel Reddy might also be in as a straight swap for a back rower. Also meaning that Potter might be favouring him over Thompson which would drive me nuts!!

Lets hope it it is Woodsy thats in. Would be a massive boost for us. Makes me a lot more confident of a win with him on the field

No Reddy did not play bummer!

Why wouldn't he carry a utility back - we have backrowers who can play 80 minutes, we have props who can play long minutes, we have bench players who can play long minutes and we only have 12 interchange

Changing Props - 6 changes
Changing Backrowers - 4 changes
Leaves 2 changes and you always save 1 so why not have another back

He would be taking Reddy as the 18th man as cover incase a back gets injured in the warm-up but i doubt he will play him on the bench, especially with Newcastle pack we will need 4 forwards on the bench

I think it means woods is playing. Personally I'd still start Buchanan. He has played good minutes in the trials and has the size to be a starting prop. Woods to come off the bench and play 40mins would be an ideal return really.

Thought there was some rule change when I read that haha

Must be sheens tryna backup his stupid 3 forward bench idea on the forum

Great news if true! Our pack looks so much more balanced with Woods in it and another big man who can come on and match it with the Knights pack. Gees our boys are going to need to be ready up front, because I feel that Marathon Stadium will be a retched away trip for any team this year.

Potter said prop Aaron Woods had passed a fitness test and would start on the interchange bench, with newcomer Bodene Thompson playing on Sunday for Wests Tigers' NSW Cup team in their match against Cronulla.

That must be a bit dissappointing for Bodene Thompson, he obviously had a really good pre-season with us and I thought he was very good in the trials.

Yeah hopefully Reddy drops off the bench list.

In which case Potter has backed Pettybourne over Thompson, so will be interesting to see what he brings…

We know what we'll get from Woods and Bell, will the real BMM please stand up?

Pettybourne over Thompson isn't surprising, Eddy has been a regular member of the Souths pack for a while and is a good young player.

I'm guessing Thompsons lack of footy might be the mitigating factor, I reckon BMM will be the one who needs to perform or he might find himself being dropped for Thompson in the near future.

Pretty sure Thompsons comming back after a long lay off with injury….little trial time, but sounded like he went well yesterday
