WOULD IZZY ADD VALUE TO WESTS TIGERS

With our alleged $1 mil to be spent under the salary cap would Israel Folau be worth chasing it would appear his days in Rugby could be coming to an end?

I certainly do. He would provide the x-factor we need in the backs. Our team is going great guns, against all the odds but, down the track, we definitely will need more strike power in attack. He would provide it. If it means dropping either MWZ or Nofa, so be it.

Could probably play fullback ? They get paid $1mil, just ask the Roosters 😉

Agreed. He would only be signed as a fullback with Thompson going back to the wing.

Good player and can play fullback. I'm not sure if that's the best way to spend our money long term. He hasn't played league for a long time and is towards the end of his career.
He be a good injection if it's was a short term deal but I'd think he'd be wanting 3-4 years. Loti was out of the Wallabies and playing O/S when we picked him up.
It would be a gamble with Izzy because he'd be asking about 5 times than what Loti was on and the religious/political stuff he has been taking about my effect the team.

He's made a rod for his own back in both games it seems.

Unfortunately, he will likely have his career ruined because he doesn't subscribe to the politically correct opinion.

The Tigers would need to ask themselves:

1\. Regardless of personal opinion on his comments, do we really want that sort of media heat? Would that become disruptive to our guys?

2\. Having been out of the game for so long, will he produce the results you'd expect from a million dollar player? Or will he be another Hayne?

3\. Does it put a superstar in the team that will then upset the balance of the culture/playing group we have now?

He would be a good pickup for us and would probably add that X-Factor.

Then again…we aren't really in need of an X-Factor...we are winning as it is.

I think the way the game is headed now with the ruck being cleaned up and interchange to be reduced, spending your cap money on good mobile forwards plus the 6,7,9 who handle the ball most is a better Way to spend the Cap

Would add value to any team in any code he plays at.

Absolute super star.

Would add massive value. He cops flak because he answers baited questions with his honest opinion. He doesnt call for any one to be beheaded or personally hates on any one. Its a brave position to take in todays world. especially for some one with any sort of public profile.

We don't need him. Big name for big names sake. Wests Tigers have done fine so far without him so don't need the distraction.

After his statements on Instagram/Twitter, No I don't want him at the club.

Goes against the no DH policy.

We have a number of fiercely religious guys in our team.

It's likely some will hold the same views as Izzy.

You're living under a rock if you think that everyone is love and mung beans when it comes to this topic.

To say Folau is a DH for expressing a view is the same of saying you're a DH for expressing your view isn't it?

Let's keep politics out of sport….

Izzy reckons he would get far more money playing rugby for Japan,NZ and UK….I don't think he would bother coming back to NRL unless it was a lucrative deal, and as someone else said,it has been awhile since he played NRL...

I'd take him, at the right price, certainly not $1mil.

He's entitled to his opinion on things, but he alone chose to make those views public and has to accept what that means. There will be players and fans who would have an issue, but he's suitability as a player should be assessed on his ability on the field…

To be honest, I'm only subservient to the one true God, his Noodly Greatness, the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Only he can touch me with his noodly appendages. Ramen!
