Would you risk scuttling 2017 for 2018?

No, the reason any team enters the comp is to win the grand final.
First off win enough games top ensure a top 8 finals berth. Then take it from there.

JJ Felise and Tatola et al need to perform to a level that demands their selection in the top grade. If they can't then they don't deserve to be there. Simples!

I think the best players should be picked regardless of what's happening next year, I don't think we should sacrifice this season but I'm realistic enough to understand that this team is not a contender this year.
We're just not good enough for 80mins each week.

So in my mind this season is already gone until I see consistent football for 80mins each week.

I wouldnt be dropping our best players, although i would allow the one's leaving to go this year if we adequate replacements IE if Teddy goes and we get Watson & Mitchell , If woods went and we got Kasiano & Hoppa or someone else i'd also be comfortable with that.

In essence id be happy to let go of the big 3 to create a big 17 to use Ivans words but you would need to get the right cattle in return otherwise like with Moses to the Eels they obviously were'nt offering what we wanted so he stays. The ball is in Ivan's court and if he decides its best they stay so be it, guys like Ava Grant ect wouldnt be huge losses but you still need = replacements.

no scuttling…..

We need to make finals to really show we are moving forward and to show two fingers to those who don't believe in us.

what if we invest time and money in to felise, tatola, heleta etc and they decide to go elsewhere for 2019?

and agree with Ink, no point in anatagonising the 3 as long as they are the best options. the way JT dealt with farah by picking rankin over him; who wouldn't hold a grudge?

I'm starting to think it's a good idea to not play the traitors. These guys are gone and if we are honest they aren't really that great.

Looking how the 2017 season is panning out for many teams, I dont think our season is over.

I think we could end up as one of the teams who are on the up and charge into the finals.

With a few minor tweeks, games like last night can be the defining moment of the season.

I believe we also have a responsibility to our sponsors/stakeholders to field the best team week to week.

X2 ….Teddy and Woods will put in as there rep credentials will suffer ,as above where not far off a couple of players added and a semi berth could be on the cards ...Moses has to go no doubt after last nights performance can be remembered for what he is ! the sponsors / stakeholders have to be looked after and don't us fans want a few wins? These guys are gone get over it :sign:
