It’s become quite apparent to me in this pandemic, face-to-face with the anti-vax movement, you can’t really do anything to convince them because their mind is already shut to the possibility of being wrong.

You are not wrong, and just like the MMR injections, they will be telling everyone who will listen, "I didn't catch it, I don't need it".
That is because everyone else is vaccinated you morons, it does my head in.
No way did I want to see my tiny little kids scream when they got there MMR shots, but I knew they needed it, just like I went and got my covid shots as soon as it became available.

Exactly. I went overseas in 1975 and needed Smallpox, Yellow Fever and Typhoid shots before we could go. Why is a vaccination certificate so different now?

Year 7 at school the girls all got Rubella shots. In primary school we all got the Sabin Oral Polio vaccine - no complaints from anyone back then.

I am fully vaccinated and just look forward to getting back to as close to normal as we can be after this.

Like anything there are risks associated with peoples choices and that is where they need to evaluate the risk.
I thought about the chance of bringing this disease home to my family as I am an essential worker who is out in South West Sydney and my family are only getting their vaccines next week and the week after and could not think of anything worse than putting them at risk.

Again this is not about preaching either way, rather weighing up what you feel is right as it is your choice.

That's an interesting question. I'd suspect the most likely reason would be cancer treatment or some other immune system compromise.

I'd expect they'd get an exemption (which might equate to a 'passport') but if they're immune compromised they probably shouldn't be going to a crowded football game anyway.

I'd suggest the health dept will have considered this and have a solution.

Everyone should get vaccinated regardless of being able to attend sport, eat out or go to concerts etc.

It's a matter of life or death, pretty stupid to choose the possible death option, unless there's underlying health conditions that warrant a different approach.
