Up until the 1970's the spin was ice age then it changed around 1978 to global warming

The science is settled apparently, just not the name ?

In basic terms there are groups of people that are unable to be vaccinated for valid reasons including their age, alergies, being immunocompromised etc. who are at high risk if they get ill.

That is what shits me about people who refuse vaccination talking about their right to personal freedom and their right to choose. I absolutely agree with those rights, as long as they live somewhere where they are completely self sufficient and have no interaction with other humans that do not share their beliefs.

Most kids that die from whooping cough are too young to be vaccinated and have picked it up from someone wandering around in the community with it who has chosen not to be vaccinated because they consider the risk to themselves low.

If you vaccinated it does not stop you from getting Covid or passing it on so you will still hurt the people you mentioned

Yes, but if enough people get vaccinated the impact on the population is very small. Nobody dies, hospitalisation is minimised and the chances of passing it on is vastly reduced.

So they are collateral damage if your vaccinated

No, if enough people are vaccinated the risk to the unvaccinated ( those that cannot be vaccinated ) is greatly reduced as well. That’s how vaccines work. Once enough people get vaccinated there is not enough people to infect for the virus to survive.

Exactly. I went overseas in 1975 and needed Smallpox, Yellow Fever and Typhoid shots before we could go. Why is a vaccination certificate so different now?

Year 7 at school the girls all got Rubella shots. In primary school we all got the Sabin Oral Polio vaccine - no complaints from anyone back then.

My dad was at Qantas and always travelling we had to have all the required shots this would of been mid 60’s ., had to go into the city to the Government Health building have the shots and get the certificate we had to carry a vaccination certificate all over the world including getting back into the country .. nothing new here.

In the scientific world, it's expected that even the highest-ranking academics will evolve their thinking.
Once new and better evidence from research is acquired the consensus changes. Science evolves to wherever the evidence takes it. That’s how science works and it does work.

The only shots that are worth taking to be able to put up with and watch Wests Tigers

It’s always possible that Workcover and the like may have claims arising from vaccinations themselves which could have the opposite effect
