Vaccinated people don't get it badly but they could pass it on to someone not Vaccinated and they could have a deadly reaction to. Hence the Vaccinated can unfortunately risk the none Vaccinated. Another reason why people who say why worry about the unvaccinated if you are Vaccinated are clueless.

I don’t think anyone is going to hold you down and inject you, that would be totally unacceptable. There will be consequences however to not being vaccinated. Things you will be able to do outside your immediate family will be restricted and rightfully so IMO.

It's the health care system that we have to manage. I agree with letting the unvaccinated do everything they want but they shouldn't be allowed into the health care system.

I honestly think that is the correct economic approach.

It won't fly though so we will have to manage the unvaccainated getting hospitalized. If we somehow get herd immunity via a large percentage getting vaccinated the unvaccainated get a free ride.

The whole approach now across the world is managing the unvaccinated. You need to ensure they don't clog up the health system. If you get too many unvaccinated getting infected it's a disaster.

1300 people die per year for alcohol abuse. Should people who drink have access to the health system? Do you revise how insane that is. Unvaccinated people don’t have access to the health care system? They just die on the street? We only allow tea totaling, non smoking triathletes into hospital?

No, but perhaps we should have. The number of times people went to work that were obviously sick and just passed it onto others should have been restricted.

The problem is you cherry pick my post and you aren't responding to what I stated.

I said it was the economic response. Don't let them ruin the health system for everyone else.

I also said it's not going to fly.

You have no choice but to try and save people. That is why there may have to be restrictions for the unvaccinated because in this instance (COVID delta strain) the people who choose not to be vaccinated may impact the health system unfairly.

We can cater for the 1300 people that die per year of alcohol abuse. The problem with COVID is that the health system may be inundated with patients who take up the spots of people dying of alcohol abuse and plenty of other reasons.

The issue isn't the moral judgement of not getting vaccinated. It's the problem with the health care system being able to cope.

You aren't getting the issue. The issue is can the health care system handle the number of deaths.

If you look at in economic terms the unvaccinated are free riding off the vaccinated. Same as smokers. The thing is the health care system can handle the smokers.

So vaccine passports are the vaccinated stating the unvaccinated can pay their way in relation to health care.

I was in emergency at hospital two weeks ago. I dont smoke. I filled out a form and the question was asked if I did, I dont. I would have be treated the same either way. In economic terms. I was not asked what vaccinations I had.

Aside from being respiratory illnesses the two aren’t comparable.

For the millionth time, I am NOT *equating* Influenza and COVID as an illness. If we didnt have lockdowns and other measures the deaths from COVID would be orders of magnitude higher, no question.

The two illnesses ARE comparable on other basis though. Both repsiratory viruses. Influenza kills 500-1200 people every year pre covid (I make that distinction because the Covid measure also inhibit Influenza).

In 2017, 2018, 2019, were you suggesting that we have full scale lockdowns and vaccine passports? It is a conversation that is coming.

When we have high enough rates of vaccination, the deaths will be of a comparable scale to Influenza and we will have to consider living life exactly as we did in 2017. This is where the UK is now, with death rates comparable to normal influenza rates.

The only situation I could see where decisions were made not to treat unvaccinated patients would be in a situation where a hospital was overwhelmed, was triaging patients and it had been established that vaccinated patients had better chances of survival, but once you get to that there would be a number of reason you wouldn't receive treatment.
