WOW!

The last team penalised I can remember in Golden Point was the Wests Tigers against the Dragons last year where Robbie was deemed to be not square at marker chasing down a FG attempt from the Dragons…

Well every GP game I have watched since then.... the whistle for that offence has been kept in the pocket...there are different rules in GP for sure...

.

Also remember Todd Payten getting pinged for offside in golden point, now once golden point start they revert to the 5m rule or less. The refs just put the whistle away and let them scrap it out. I suppose while both teams are given the same advantage its okay, but it dose make it hard for teams to score the winning point or points

That's the thing that peeves me is the different rules for extra time…....watched nz nearly crueled by obvious offside Sat night and I think the sharks were hard done by in that first half of gp. But apparently if ur names not Robbie Farah its free for all.

We have also lost games against Canberra and Cronulla in extra time for being offside chasing a field goal attempt. The only 3 times I can remember too. They really love us sometimes the refs.

They have had a million names….but I liked it when they were the Chargers...so to me they have always been the Gold Coast Chargers

Had a couple of decent jumpers too that I liked….black n white butchers stripes and another sort of two tone number

Don't forget those teal and purple monstrocities they wore.
That logo in the pic was sponsored by Stimorol- anyone remember that stuff?….It was chewing gum that was flavoured like Deep Heat!
The golden point period of Monday night's game was ridiculous- Gold Coast were 5 metres offside on that last charge down and the ref could see the blokes either side of him were way in front but he did nothing. Too scared to make a decision, the refs see themselves as part of the entertainment these days.

Was great to see Wade Graham be able to pull the wool over the referees eyes in the golden point coin toss. He probably learnt that ability to lie through his teeth during the ASADA peptide investigation

Mick Ennis probably taught him a trick or two
