So today, myself, my dad and my uncle went to what ended up being called the WT Christmas drinks at Le Montage in Lilyfield.
I was surprised at the amount of players that didn't turn up because apparently all were supposed to be there.
Blair, Lawrence, Sironen, Thompson, Utai, Woods and the new Fijian boys turned up.
Humphries, Wayne Cousins, Potter, Roycey, Georgallis and Skando were there. Blocker was also there and made an announcement that he was joining the club next year in some way.
Anyway, about 15 minutes after Blair arrived he walked over to us himself and started talking about training and told us about mick and that he was quite strict. If they miss a training session they have to make it up. Seemed like a real nice guy! Leaner than I thought though. But he's keen for next year to make up for his poor effort this year!
Also talked to Sironen, his shoulder is coming along good and will be ready for next year if he's hopefully chosen. He actually said that he's getting to big for the halves and that he'd like to play lock so not sure what's happening there but will be interesting to see next year!
Mick talked over the microphone and answered a few questions from Cousins and he was actually really softly spoken so I'm hoping that he changes a bit at training haha.
