WT Members Focus Group

The members kits are terrible. I couldn't care less about crappy lanyards, shoddy backpacks, stickers that fade after two weeks etc etc. I would rather one quality item, maybe a Member's Polo Shirt. Quality VS Quantity

Was thinking of the same thing Alex, a members polo shirt or if it's too expensive for the club to supply, have them available to purchase and a long sleeve polo option would be useful as well for colder nights. A decent members cap and scarf would also worth consideration.

I think this highlites that everyone wants something diffferent

Its also a convenient 'out' for the club to commence charging for things like caps and badges that for years have been included in membership cost….by saying "members were consulted and preferred to purchase these items to keep membership costs down''

Pfft

when people are asking for stuff like polo t shirts in their membership gear, i dont think it's fair.. it is not just more expensive, it takes away their money from the merchandise.

i think something unique would be much preferred.. signed ball from Robbie Farah? or something from the sponsors. if they give out free stuff from the merchandise, it loses a lot of meaning, lacks worth

just my opinion though

Yeah…I'm new to this forum but have been a WT member since 2004.
What the club gives 'us' members is not good enough...... both product & service..!!

I called the office a couple of wks before the panthers game (and then another call 4 days before the actual game) and spoke to a young lady if she could assist or point me in the right direction with re; to having some kind of "do" on the day of the panthers game (where i believe the crowd was approx less than what they get at a club rugby game and I was realistic and knew that the crowd wasn't going to be huge, hence why I selected this game)).

it was for my sons birthday (8yrs old, who is also a member), along with 2 of his friends...I clearly stated that I was willing to pay whatever extra costs for 2 x tix (for his mates) and possibly some hot chips, hot dog, drink & and most important of all, possibly one of the injured tigers player popping in and saying hi. I also suggested that i was willing for us to sit anywhere. The answer was "NO, but give me your details and ill have someone call you"...still waiting!! Have you seen what the Eels do for the same thing..wow, believe me you get the "bells & whistles"...I've personally experienced it (what the eels put on for the same occasion) and I was blown away!!!

Next time ill tell the office (if I call), that I am an non paying, Que hopping, illegal refugee...that has thrown away my membership overboard, then ill probably be given the 'red carpet' treatment, or possibly even a return call from the marketing gurus in the office...who need to be slightly flexible & in touch with real world.

finally and on a more lighter (but still serious & important note) i want them to supply a WT truckers hat...not the ones that deflate and wrinkle when they are exposed to natural light and air!!!

Other than that, all good!

I imagine they'd get hundreds of requests just like yours august…feel your hurt, dont take it personal.

http://www.weststigers.com.au/donations-policy

So the club followed policy which seems to make sense. I am on their side here -you can't expect them to do soe thing for nothing for everyone who requests.

Been havi g more of a think about this membership thing and I think they need to improve the full experience. This means better food, better toilets, more screens at the game, more service staff. I personally wouldn't mind paying more but I think the issue is my beloved Leichhardt. Games must be at good grounds lets split it between say SFS and Anz then half near balmin and half in the west

Point taken..,I realise that the club can't accommodate for everyone's request….but I won't compromise nor change my opinion that we need some cool WT truckers hats..,it'll make me feel better

I'm glad there are other other disgruntled members. Trust me we are the worst run club in the league.

Any way take a deep breath and you might see the trucker hats before the century is out

My membership renewal was stuffed up for the 4th year in a row. I have ended up getting a free additional card for 2013 so i wont complain. They really need to improve membership processes

Can we get a summary of what was discussed on Sunday and what/if any promises were made for improvements?

Thanks

Grant Mayer is the right man for the job. He is genuine, very approachable and willing to listen. Have spoken to him in person and via email. He knows the club is behind in many ways but unfortunately he was employed to late last year to do anything for this season.

Trust me things will change for next season. He has come from GWS and as he says "afl are the kings of memberships and merchandise."
