Klemmer's cake had one of those edible placards, not a post-it note. The writing is in chocolate or something similar.
I can say this because they presented the members with a cake at our presentation on Thursday, same handwriting in chocolate on an edible disc. Probably from the same company.
It would have been nice to hear from someone from the football department. We've won one o of our last 18 matches and yet the entire football department were absent to explain the plan moving forwards, what we're trying to do differently, why what we're doing hasn't been working etc. Sheens or Benji...
Also sometime from pathways like Betsey to explain what we're doing to actually help develop and improve the kids coming through...
The people from the membership team just can't talk about these things. And players like Api Saukuru and Brandon Wakeham hardly have much insight to offer, when anyone could get a word out of them
Problem is it's a "damned if you do and damned if you don't" type thing if you make a presentation. Pascoe puts up some slides and reportedly several people walk out one night, because apparently you can't talk about improved finances. I also imagine if Sheens or Betsey or someone got up there to talk about how the pathways or FG side were improved or battling hard, it would still annoy some people, because we aren't seeing that on-field. Like imagine someone asks Sheens about Brooks, and Sheens says he thinks Brooks is a good footballer and our best halfback (because that is what he would say), how many fans would be peeved about that.
I agree however they could have had more Football Ops people present to ask questions of.
The players were fine - Twal is very approachable and speaks well. Stefano is quiet but a very polite guy. Junior Tupou is 20, I left him alone... I generally leave the players alone unless they are attempting to make chit-chat.
I appreciated being able to see the CoE, that was what I was mostly there for. Also they let us into the beer fridge.

Its the first time i have ever heard of player getting a cake for a milestone match - so i'm guessing those putting the boot have seen the great cakes that players throughout the NRL have received on their 200th game. Please post pics as i would like to compare the cakes.
Corey's an idiot.
We are a laughing stock but we're not the only one, Broncs haven't done well for years.
Keep wearing Ur cowboy hat in the house Corey and tell your radio host husband we said hello
To compare the broncos to the rubbish tigers is insane mate. They were smart enough to appoint a new GM and CEO when standards dropped. Bring young talent through and buy a couple of great leaders in capewell and Reynolds and had a instant turn around. Corey parker is 100% correct this club is piss weak and needs to be blown up from top to bottom or as others suggest separate wests and balmain it is not working.

If Wests and Balmain could be separated, what happens to Balmain when Wests own 90% of the franchise.
Do we ever hear anything from the Illawarra side of St. George Illawarra...not very often at all imo.
So, the same thing could happen to Balmain in becoming a virtual non-entity while Wests go back to being Wests Magpies.

If they split I wouldnt mind we have played finals 3 times in 23 years. The club is a mess if balmain took over as a wests supporter I honestly am past the point of caring.

Seeing as the initial 'Wests Tigers Action Group' was shut down after the creator was given a nice dinner by the club a new group is now available to provide a focused channel for members and fans to get organised so we can create a United voice of meaningful dialogue to protest the incompetence of the management at WT.
This is not only against the CEO and the board, but that the entire culture of the organisation needs fixing. And that the current people in charge have failed us and don't deserve anymore time to correct a decade of wrongs.
I note that not everyone wants to protest, and that a thread like this can easily get hijacked, a fb group is a conventional way for focused discussion to take place.

Hi BB - The Ambush have put together a fan forum for this Sunday's match vs Manly, at The Beer Shed Leumeah. The idea is to present constructive, workable criticism that can be summarised back to the club via the communication channels they've provided to The Ambush (The Ambush have an agreed Charter with the club for engaging members and providing feedback).
Maybe you can collaborate with @cochise, who has posted about the upcoming forum here:
Yeah caught that myself on the big screen. Hope the Ambush went well cochise....the more people appreciate your work, the more people will come and enjoy the fruits of your labour...I will get to one as soon as I can, just really busy atm up here in the Highlands...

I think everyone agrees that something more needs to be done than the patchwork on-field changes attempted by the club over a decade, but the challenge is providing a coordinated groundswell mechanism that gets traction with either the club or the media, i.e. a fan-driven pressure for changes at a higher level than the coach.
I know @cochise and can vouch for his common-sense approach and openness to new suggestions. He also has the advantage of having communicated with the club directly for several years, attempting to improve the experience of fans and members.

While it's a cute idea, no club sanctioned group will be listened to when calling for the leaders of the club to all be sacked. Step one is a mass culling of trash. If the Ambush puts forth the idea that the board must all resign, including Lee, and then a new board must find a new CEO the club will probably just give some polite waffle and then keep doing what they do. I really don't know what Kelly, Gary and co are hoping to achieve with their event.
I'm away this weekend in any case.
A coordinated approach persistently attacking the club, its board and management is the only way forwards. We need to be loud, aggressive and coordinated.
Aaron Woods talking on NRL tonight seemed to sum up an issue
He said he's now played for 2 Joint Ventures WT and SGI
He said when he played for Tigers not everyone in each area supported Tigers and when he played for Dragons not everyone in each area supported Dragons but now at Manly everyone in the area supports Manly and that is awesome
His words
What exactly is our area ?
