It depends how you frame the question,

Justin, does there come a point in time where we have missed the finals 9-10 years in a row and you say to yourself, maybe I am not the leader this club needs?
To which he of course replies "nah mate".

Maybe in this fantasy Pascoe, Madge and Lee H can all hold hands and walk off into the sunset together, never to be seen again.

Im not going to segregate anyone in particular in regard to the front office,I will however state one particular item....
In a club the Board are there to decide on the financial figures, incomes outgoings etc..
The CEO answers to the board,he delivers the directives of the board to the managers, staff etc within the Club...
Under the registered clubs act...
""The board do not involve themselves with the DAILY operations of the Club""
This is the one point I will make, therein lies some of our problems.Lees influence in extending Noffa for that amount of money and time comes to the fore it should never have happened, that is the football depts job...

AND its not a critique of Noffa rather on Lee....

There appeared to be a breakdown in the organisational structure and a blending of responsibilities?
It was the CEO and the Chair who were flying around secretly trying to recruit players, which gave the impression we had a problem with recruitment. Following the last review the recruitment team was replaced. Are they not doing a better job?

I think the club is going good.its just the football dept has to get things right and to me they are working on it,all this sack Madge inuendo doesnt help the cause at all...it will be left to the people who are in charge of that dept and anyone else should stick to their roles within the club framework...

Fantasy lol.

Someone here has one, and I think it involves water, a ducks back and a sycophant poster on WTF.
Yeah it's a fantasy that Pascoe or the Board are going to self-immolate. Isn't that what this thread is ultimately about?

I've actually decided this week to do what I have long observed others doing - to bang on about the same point over and over, until the other posters become bored enough to stop responding.

This is my "punt him" moment, right up there with the best of the Luke Brooks, Madge or Pascoe commentary going around. Incessant, unyielding repetition.

Yeah it’s a fantasy that leadership change might fix our broken club. Giving someone an eighth year when they’ve failed for seven seems appropriate 👍
A leadership change might be for the better. We'll find out when it eventually happens.

But you are mincing the discussion. I didn't say it was a fantasy to think change might be beneficial, I said it was fantasy to expect those admin folks you dislike to voluntarily step down.

Some might think our recruiting has improved but other clubs have improved more than us, so no we aren’t really making big strides forward.

I’m sure the recruiting team go out and approach players or more correctly their Managers. But whether they have success in their role ultimately comes back to each players decision, which is influenced by a number of factors, many of which come under the umbrella of the front office.

I’m talking about the external reputation of the club, relationships with media and managers, the facilities, word on the street, the projection of success. Etc etc . All of this I would say is what our front office has completely failed at over a lengthy period and in my opinion Jesus Christ himself would struggle to sell us as Justin’s ‘destination club’.

You said we have no power to remove them, which I don’t deny. I just wonder how long you can go on when you’re crap at something. Seven years is a good knock.

What happens in the front office directly affects the football department. You don’t think Nick Politis isn’t on the phone 24/7 fighting for his Roosters football department? If you don’t you’re cracking jokes.
