I agree with you BB ,The club has failed dreadfully
First 10 years no finals appearance .To make the top 8 is not like asking for the moon .For gods sake half the teams in the comp make the top 8
Second the last 5 years shows a clear trend EVERY YEAR IS WORSE THAN THE ONE BEFORE !. Our roster sucks and take note not one signing since Naden who got out of a club which had done a huge no of signings and he found himself on the outer. Our reputation is what's making recruitment so difficult .This is not a new problem but one that has been festering for some time and has not been addressed by the board or ceo . I don't even think such problems are even admitted to .

To me, the board of a footy club shouldn't operate like the board of a conventional organisation, but instead, the board should operate more like a political system.
Various candidates/voting blocs should be vying for our votes (Wests Tigers Football club members - I know this doesn't exist).
While the board isn't involved in the day to day operational running of the football club, they should be providing the framework for the future.
Under this system, individuals/blocs would not only put their credentials forward but also their ideas.
Bloc A's agenda might be for a single home ground, Bloc B's might be two home grounds.
The point being, paid up Wests Tigers Members (New category of Membership), would have a direct say in who sits on the board and what their policy agendas are.
And once their term is up, we either vote them back in OR we give the next mob a go.

The board are ultimately responsible for the team’s performances.
The team has come last.
The board needs to own this outcome.
The above as well as the multitude of errors they have presided over, over an extensive period of time, leads me to conclude that in the bests interests of the club they should all step aside.
That is not defamatory, that is my honestly held belief.

I would be happy to try anything new .The old doesn't work
My wish is that the JV become a total complete merger such that an organisation called Wests Magpies and and organisation called Balmain Tigers totally merge creating a metamorphosis whereby the ingredients cease to exist and the new creation Wests Tigers is the only football organisation.. All grades same name .One home ground would be preferred but if necessary to make attendance of fans convenient two home grounds could be used . This singular entity would be a more powerful and successful one .

Saw this on Facebook - funnily enough it was in the Wests Magpies supporters group but does highlight the lack of experience we have overseeing our Football Operations.
"Opening your eyes to how the Wests Tigers operate. They have a Football committee which is made up of 3 Wests Tigers directors. These people are the Directors in charge of football at the Wests Tigers and are above the Head of Football- Tim Sheens who is their employee.
The Chairman of the Football Committee is Danny Stapleton. Danny made the run on side twice in a 14 game career over 2 years in which Balmain came last and second last. 1993 & 1994.
His no. 2 & 3 on the Football Committee are Simon Cook and Rick Wayde. Not sure how many games they have played but Simon runs the Leagues club and Rick is a Wests committee man stalwart for a long time having help save the Magpies in the 1980’s…. These are the people who are primarily ultimately responsible and their performance needs to be assessed and scrutinised."

Benji has zero experience coaching but he’s nonetheless appointed head coach for three years.
You would be hard pressed finding anyone in the game with less claim to this critical position which is devoid of any merit other than a nod from Tim ( if that counts given his less than attractive approach to coaching vacancies).
This shocking and I think inept decision was sold to us as reintroducing DNA and other regressive nostalgic rubbish.
In the absence of leadership and commonsense at the most senior levels, there is little point taking a stab at the more junior underlings and minions.
The management of this club, in my own honest view, is utterly atrocious.
I will meet any allegation of defamation with a basic reliance on facts, truth and honest opinion.
Judging from publicity in the mainstream media including opinions given by former players I heave heard, our internal organisation is in very poor shape.
Our spoon was openly and unashamedly predicted by some here this time last year, largely predicated on the inability of shortcomings of our management.
The immediate future is that no one of any standing will take any responsibility. They will belt on and spin, that’s about it.

Point in question. Gary Jack applied for nomination on the board and was denied . You would think he having played for both clubs, been on a board and run businesses perhaps he could provide more nous then say a freaky looking fill in muso from the 80's ? Im just guessing though 🙄

No very different setup
Ten members may, with the additional support of both the NSW and Queensland Rugby Leagues, vote to remove a Commissioner.
Fourteen members are required to remove a Commissioner without the support of both the NSW and Queensland Rugby Leagues. Should either of these events occur, the remaining Commissioners would appoint a replacement.
A Commissioner who has been removed from office may not seek re-appointment for a period of three years.
The members are the NRL clubs and the NSWRL and QRL
