WT Player Retention/Recruitment/Loss List

Three spots left possibly five…meaning.... there will be five when I go back to Penrith and take Marsters and Twal with me!!! :-l

Are we struggling to count on the WTF we have 28 players signed up for next year!

How could we possibly have 5 remain?

If we’re basing offloading Reynolds due to injuries, there won’t be many clubs lining up.

Even if fit, I don’t think there’d be anyone battering the door down, I just don’t see any upside to him.
He could go into the museum of WTs most innefective buys.

No… I think Cols right... Optimistic dream on my part... What we need and what we settle for/or can only achieve... are two very different things

Yeah I was just having a laugh, I would guess that with the stalemate in place at the moment we're a long way off being a chance of locking down any top line players. We struggle to compete to begin with, now there's uncertainty as to who will coach next year.

Ain't gonna happen!!!

The sook is only taking Masters.

Why on earth would he take any of our players to a club with an already stacked NRL roster? They'd be playing ISP! They have regular first grade spots here and they ain't going anywhere. Who makes this stuff up?

Never heard him say anything like that. It's just more negative speculation.

So I think that confirms that Mikhaeli, Smith and McIntryre promotes to top 30?

Club already confirm d this…

gee them three are really going to add to us climbing the table, no wonder we are where we are.

Yes as Col said Smith and Mikhaeli are quality junior rep players…McIntyre been playing both second row and centre in ISP .....All would be on base level NRL contracts which you need in a squad

Which young players should we have signed bp....you watch a bit of the lower grades...

i dont have a problem with the signings as such, yes we need players for ISP, what really pisses me off, is that we need harden 1st grade players to bring these kids along, are forwards need 2-3 hard men and we need 2 backs, if they had bought some more decent players no one would be complaining.

Unless we offload any players, I think carrying two spare spots into the season is smart tactically. We picked up Mbye for a reduced rate due to another clubs mistakes, as well as having enough room to bring Robbie home.

Unless a player is the ideal signing, or we can swap out say a McQueen, then we stick with the current roster.

Anyone know what Oliver Clark is like? Good player, bad player, average player? I know nothing about him.

Can only go by what I saw in three or four ISP games this year. Based on that I thought he was just an average ISP prop and certainly not capable of being a good NRL player. But he's young and I could be a bad judge.

Even with the possibility of signing two more players I find our squad underwhelming. We've added Matterson who I think is a good buy but that's not enough. Regardless of who coaches in 2019 this squad is not likely to be contending for the top 8 come July and August.

Thanks coivtny, doesn't sound too inspiring, but he is young like you said and he may come good as he gets older 😛ray: …. or he could end up just being another Robbie Rochow :frowning:
