That's a bit tough on Joey. I've seen that penalty go the other way plenty of times. Manly player had his hands on him and pushed down as he played at the ball. Should have been a penalty to WT. Thought Joey's second half was pretty good.

Sweet victory, and against silverspooners, with only 32% possession, penalties 1:8, repeated sets heavily against us, against refs, and with too many players out of form! When many forsaken us, a mirracle happen, and at 6:20!😁 Go Tigers!👍🐯💪

Huge win. And to do it with only 32% possession is unbelievable really. Would be interested to see what the lowest possession achieved with a win is. Can’t imagine that would happen too often.

I despise it when we have him ref us, the penalty count was a joke I’m not sure how many 6 again calls we got but I’m sure it was less than them.

Well waking up the scoreline was a surprise, which made this a good read. Terrible first half by the sounds and a bit in the 2nd half too, yet still managed to win without much of the ball and with a tense week for the team prior to the game too.

Madge seemed pleased in the presser.

First half was more that we just didn't have the ball - 26 minutes in we had 2 sets. When we got a share of the ball we played better. Defence still was reasonably poor in stages but in reality any team facing 14 sets to 2 will let in points

Should've been a penalty mate, rewatch it... can't blame a poor old meat head for following what he believes are the ref's actual instruction! Same thing happened in the second half (with Marty) and it was another set of six to them 5 out...

Perenara was at a party I went to - as security, pfft - when about 15 years old. That guy literally told me he favours the Sharks and despises the Tigers.

Yeh, I think BJ is usually such a simple ping for a penalty that the refs go looking for him these days. I thought he was hard done by a couple of times.

And, I've been impressed with Perenara's reffing this year (from a very low base, I quickly add), but he was more like Henry-of-old last night.

Whatever happened to him before he got 'old' involving having his pants pulled down by a Tigers player shouldn't cause him to overcompensate each and every time.

Ask him to rediscover his ability to be impartial as there were way more than just Joey L examples in last night's game
