Brooks still sucks but that kick was on the dot for once

Doohey’s fades were special

Brooks did more than that in the second half when we had the ball...

He defended ok in the second half ...
He needs to go to @happy_tiger s school of TORP ...

Brooks did more than that in the second half when we had the ball...

Brooks' game improved 100%. All he needed was confidence.

It didn’t for the first 60 minutes, he was horrid. The last 20 he was great and got us over the line.

Forwards were going backwards. A forward he has to babysit in defence. Brooks has a great shoert kicking game. But we need to get field position. The kicks on the third tackle were for that. Unfortunately we cannot defend them yet like the Storm can.

Apart from Grant every one of their forwards outplayed every one of ours dramatically- not sure how we actually won!

After tonight I'm more convinced that Mbye is a 5/8. If we can somehow get JAC confirmed and he goes ok at the back I can see us next year having;

1. JAC
4. Douehi
6. Mbye
7. Brooks

Mbye would be a really good six with a guy like Foran (peak Foran / fit)

And Brooks would also with a peak Foran.

Not sure Brooks and Mbye would work, but it is def worth trying next two rounds. Give Benji his farewell, but try Brooks / Mbye for a couple.

I agree although we did look better when tapau and fonua-blake were off. Imagine if we had middle players that could make that kind of impact.
