The stats on this match are crazy - score is 12- 10 to Tigers - we have made 65 tackles to their 135, hit ups 47 to 13, metres 580 to 260 - how we only lead 12 - 10 is a worry

Noticed those stats as well & surprised we only lead 12 nil at HT

Bunnies were on 29 I think before today's game, we were on 30

or were they only on 27?

Going off league live, we were on 30
and Souths were on 27.
Hope it's right !

The stats also say Lovett and Santi made 4 & 7 tackles which is far from correct as I seem them make 2 tackles per set numerous times, we led 12-0 halftime in a tough battle only to allow another team below us on the table to come back into the game through silly errors and penalties.

Wests Tigers lose 16-12 to South Sydney in Holden Cup

Wests Tigers suffered a disappointing 16-12 loss to South Sydney Rabbitohs tonight at Allianz Stadium tonight in round 25 of the Holden Cup.

Coach Todd Payten’s team led 12-0 at half-time only to be run down by the Rabbitohs in the second half.

The loss leaves Wests Tigers on 30 points and in sixth position. The win keeps Souths in seventh place, one point behind Wests Tigers.

Wests Tigers opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when full-back Kurtis Rowe ran off an inside pass to beat two defenders in an angle run to score next to the posts. Centre Manaia Rudolph converted the try for a 6-0 lead.

Seven minutes later, hooker Manaia Cherrington dived over from dummy half for a 10-0 lead. Cherrington converted for a 12-0 lead. The score stayed that way until half-time.

2nd Half
South Sydney started the second half strongly when winger Ofa Felila scored from a crossfield kick. Centre Aaron Gray failed to convert the try.

The Rabbitohs were in again when hooker and captain Cameron McInnes chased through a grubber kick to score behind the posts for a 12-8 scoreline. Gray converted for a 12-10 scoreline.

South Sydney hit the lead for the first time in the 72nd minute when full-back Alex Johnston scored to give the Rabbitohs a 14-12 lead. Gray converted for a 16-12 scoreline.

Wests Tigers half-back Luke Brooks was placed on report in the 78th minute for a shoulder charge.

I got out to the ground early and saw the whole game. Really dissapointing effort last night. Had an absolute heap of possession and field position in the first half, really should have been up 30-0 at halftime. As expected it completely turned around in the 2nd half and souths were camped on our line. 2 of their tries were very lucky but no one to blame but themselves.

Brooks, santi and Rowe we're the best for mine. Everytime I watch a 20s game I just don't see it with Lovett, I know he is a local junior but we should have tried to keep Santi instead of him IMO

Agreed on lovett. I'm yet to see anything that suggests he will be better or even equal to Santi.
