WT's v Titans Under 20's live game thread

Need to give a big wrap to Nathan Brown. Had great stats of:

1 try
154m from 17 runs
1 try assist
8 tackle breaks
24 tackles
7 offloads
1 LB

For his first start in months, he did very well.

I also love watching Andy Fiagatusa. I'm surprised he never gets a mention as a chance for first grade next year. He is a big unit and only has one gear - run the ball as hard as you can into the defensive line! There were times yesterday when the Tigers were going sideways and he straightened us up immensely. I've been watching him for weeks bend the line back and he always gets at least an extra 5 metres after he hits the line. Really sets up a good platform and lots of space for Brooks and Moses to work their magic.

Also just a general shout out to the team. Many on here have been critical that we let the lowly placed Titans get such a lead against us. However I spoke to Kyle Lovett at the airport after the game and he said the boys flew up the morning of the game. They were all up at 6am for an early morning flight, and left Skilled Stadium before first grade was over to get their flight back to Sydney. Big ask for the boys and may have been a factor in their slow start to the game.

Think of the cost savings.

Wow! okay that actually makes a lotta sense. Winning like that with them at home, in the heat with those commitments either side of the game is actually extremely impressive. Don't mind the lead they go to as much if that's true

Do you know him, or just ran into him?

Always looking on the bright side, aren't you?

It's win-win. Won the game and probably saved around $5000.

It's all sunshine and roses to me.

I'm a massive fan of his. He's got a bit to learn discipline wise, but he's very tough and enthusiastic.

IMO, he's been as dominant in the games he's played as Fifita and Woods were in 2009\. I think he's a very good chance at seeing a bit of FG next year.

Let's just write this one off as a freak occurrence then shall we

Why?

This team always crumbles against nuffies.

I think that is a massive problem.

Bottom line this year is that the backline and in particular the centres are utter dross

A bit harsh I think. I was at the game yesterday. It is not the backs that give away penalties on the 4th and 5th tackles. The ball does not come out to them when they are in their own half which was about 70% of the game. Rudolph has been great on the right edge in attack and his goal kicking is probably the best in the comp. Milone is in the top three in hit ups each week because of the lack of ball movement. Great 60m break yesterday which set up one of the comeback tries. I say the backline may lack some experience but they are not "utter dross" in my opinion.

He re-signed for 3 years
