Yileen Gordon

Great potential but just may have got a little bit side tracked along the way. Debut in NRL when he was 18 years old maybe a little soon for his time. Don't be quick to judge or put down people if you haven't experienced the NRL pressures yourself. He will be playing 1st grade next year & what will you's have to say then?

I'm guessing as a second rower , he probably beyond it for the backs and we have backs coming out of our ears

Say hi to your BF for us Alisha. And don't take it personally, everyone has an appreciation for how tough it must be to break into first grade even once in your life. If he plays hard and does his best, the fans will be behind him all the way, whether he breaks first grade or not.

If he gets to 1st grade he will have earned it.

agreed, surprise buys always seem crap before you see them play. like ava seumanufagai and sue. Very few raps preseason IIRC.

hopefully this guy does the same, although i think he'll mostly be in NSW Cup in 2014 bar injuries. Maybe a bit of 1st grade if he steps up to the challenge.

You can say hello to him yourself. I have nothing to hide if I did I would went under another name & believe me I'm Buddy's biggest critic. As you seen by my post. I don't take anything personally but just be aware that they are human beings too & face the same trials & tribulations as other people too except they are in the spot light at times & get scrutinised. I will just sit back & watch him prove the skeptics wrong but real fans support all their players. Whether he gets the opportunity to play 1st grade again or not he is still getting paid to do what he loves & my daughters & myself are very proud of him & his achievements.

Sounds like he has some great support at home. As you probably already know fan forums tend to look at players like a commodity instead of people….I'll admit to doing it.

Yes I understand that hence my response. I just think that maybe fans should take more in to account & think about the pressures associated with it. I understand it from the fans point of view also they are just worried about the best interests for there club. I just hope that buddy proves the skeptics wrong. Buddy is a talented player who just needs to work hard as well not appt rely on talent & I believe he could be an asset to the tigers if given the opportunity. I'm far from a typical wag  we love our footy!

especially players we don't know very much, if at all.

Love this signing, always seen what a player he could be and really hope he can reach his full potential! Also, welcome to the Tigers family Leesh and Yileen!

Buddy progressed when with the Wolves and started to find that upper level performance with the Jets last year.

A injury free off season and he is a very handy pick up for depth.

Been around the traps, knows the hard wok required, genuinely good guy to boot. Good to have around a younger club

Imo i think he's a great Depth signing (Every team needs depth, especially a team like ours where we have massive injury tolls every season)

These signings can go either way, but I always hope to see the best come out of these guys. Bell was one such player that didn't disappoint, only had one terrible game that I remember.

It's almost set in stone that we'll be ravaged by injury so it always helps to have players of his calibre ready to step up and fill the void.

If this signing was under Sheens then I would not be too excited about Yileens signing, but I really think Potter has the ability to bring the best out of some of these guys. In my opinion, Sheens preferred to model a player after they were ready for first grade - show them the ropes and the way things should be done.

Potter appears to be different. The way he has brought on players like Sue, Ava and BMM shows me that he is prepared to work on each players requirements individually to help with their improvement and development. I think guys like Yileen, Patterson and Keith L could really respond to his method of coaching.

Lets see improvement in the guys we have got and turn them into the type of players we would like to see us signing from other clubs. A good signing for mine.

Potter Potter Potter…Yeah Mr personality is different alright....Good luck Mr Gordon.
Wests Tigers once again signing someone no one else wants.
Recruitment does not seem to have improved in fact it looks worse then ever. When is a professional recruitment officer going to be employed by the club ?

Has always had potential goodluck with Wests Tigers, Yileen, & Leesh good on ya for sticking up for him I've had shots at certain players over the years on here probably not fair  anyway I wonder if he's mates with Corey Paterson?

Ever since Utai was universally panned here on the Forums, then showed more heart, soul and ticker than most other player in our squad, i've taken a "wait and see" apporach to these kind of depth signings.

Give him an injury free off season, and you never ever know.

Look at Albert Kelly going to the Titans - another troubled and distracted kid who found some unbelievable form.
